We will be celebrating our teachers and staff with a Holiday Staff Appreciation Breakfast on Wednesday, December 14th. We are excited to once again have our AGIS families cook and bake for our amazing staff! Please consider signing up to donate an item at this LINK.

All food needs to be delivered to AGIS cafeteria by 7:30am the morning of WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 14th (no earlier than 6:45am please). The requested items are just a guideline as to the types of things we need - not necessarily a specific request.

Please feel free to use your best recipes.

"PTA Holiday Staff Breakfast".

We are so excited to be working with 1st Day School Supplies again this year for our supply kits. AGIS teachers have updated lists for the coming school year. This service saves you from hunting all the supplies! Kits will once again be delivered to your home.

Kits are available for 3rd-6th grades. You will see that there are two choices for kits for 3rd-5th grades. REQUIRED SUPPLIES gets you the needed supplies asked for by the classroom teachers. REQUIRED SUPPLIES + CLASS KIT gets you the needed supplies plus extra items that benefit the classroom (wipes, tissues, extra pencils, etc.). The choice is yours - only purchase one of these choices NOT both.

There is also an option to "Donate a Kit". This kit will also be delivered to your home and you can direct it where you want it to go. (If you do not have a preference, simply drop it off in the AGIS office and a student in need will receive this kit.)

A portion of all sales comes back to AGIS PTA. These funds directly benefit AGIS classrooms and teachers. Sales will continue through July 1st.

Each day this week we will have a spirit day to celebrate Autism Acceptance Month. Also, throughout the entire month of April, we will have special announcements on the morning announcements and other activities our students can participate in to raise autism awareness.

Rock Your Socks Day is celebrated worldwide to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness on March 21st. March 21 is symbolic because people with Down syndrome have 3 copies of their 21st chromosomes. Students and staff are encouraged to wear bright, colorful, or mismatched socks to show their support.

AGIS tote bags are in and ready for you! These tote bags come in two sizes and can be seen in the AGIS office or on our Facebook page.

Use this Google form to place your order. Then submit your payment by sending in cash or check (made payable to AGIS PTA) in a sealed envelope to school (teachers will make sure they reach the office). Please include student name or parent name so that we can match payment to submitted Google form. You can also stop by the AGIS office to purchase.

The larger "grocery tote" (14.5"x15.5" and 7" deep) is $12, and the smaller "convention tote" (14"x14" and 3" deep) is $10. Email president@agispta.org with any questions.

Please join us on October 26th at 6:30pm in the LMC (Library) for our Fall General Meeting. We will be sharing updates and information about upcoming events and projects. We will also have a guest speaker sharing about the newly updated Elementary Report Cards.

We will be announcing our Membership Drive Raffle winner and our Grade Level Membership winner.

Room Parents ... a HUGE THANK YOU to all that have signed up to help support our teachers and classrooms as a Room Parent. Room Parents at AGIS are a VERY important part to the PTA as well! Room Parents are the connection to our classrooms/teachers and are the key to the success of our Classroom Basket Sales at Country Christmas. This is a big task! Mostly thanks to the Room Parents, we bring in more than $10,000 each year.

We have about 25 classrooms that do not have a Room Parent. Would you please consider stepping in to help? No experience is necessary. Please reach out to your Homeroom teacher to sign up.

We are excited to be able to offer a small token of appreciation to all Room Parents this year. To the wonderful parents who volunteer to be Room Parents, please stop by the PTA table during Country Christmas on December 4th. There will be an envelope with your name on it with a token of our appreciation.

AGIS PTA along with the awesome students, staff, and admin will be kicking off Boosterthon Fun Run on October 18th! All funds raised will be for updates and improvements to the playgrounds at AGIS. We are excited to contribute to our wonderful school in this way! Students will be a part of leaving a lasting legacy at AGIS!

We will be counting on families to help us promote and raise pledges. This will be a great community effort that WILL directly benefit AGIS!

The Fun Run will take place on October 27th. More details are coming!
