Homework: This week students will begin bringing home reading word lists and passages/books in their blue homework folder. They should practice them 3 times each. Make sure they bring their homework folder to class everyday as we will be using their word lists and passages in class.
Independent study work: The office will be sending home work for your child to complete if you would like to make up their absence. Please have your child turn in the completed work to the office and not to class.
Scholastic Book orders: If you would like to order books you may do so online here. Every order supports our classroom with points to buy books for our classroom library. Book flyers are in your child's homework folder. Book orders are due Friday, September 19th.

Library books: Your child will be bringing home a library book for parents to read to them. After you finish reading the book, your child will take an AR quiz and check out a new book. Please make sure your child's library book is in their backpack at all times. Reading to your child will help them reach their trimester reading goal. Every child that reaches their goal will get to join me for a pizza party at the end of the trimester. 🍕
This Thursday is Patriot Day 🇺🇸. Please have your child wear red, white and blue.
This Friday we will be celebrating International Dot Day! In addition to our Roadrunner Red, add some dots to your attire to earn double Dojo points!
Roadrunner Spirit: Our class has won the Friday Roadrunner Spirit award for the past two weeks! Keep up the good work!
Dojo Dollars: Your child earns one dojo dollar for every green dojo point they earn in Class Dojo. Last Friday was our first time shopping at our student store. Please continue checking for a hand stamp everyday and encourage good behavior
