"We shouldn't teach great books; we should teach a love of reading." B. F. Skinner

  • The library is available for the Einstein community during its operating hours. But please be respectful of classes that may be being held by the librarian or another teacher. Stay calm and quiet as you move about the library.
  • All students, faculty, and parents may check out books. Each person has their own account. We do not give out library cards although we have a card number assigned to everyone. We access your account by using your name.
  • Students are allowed to check out up to 10 items at a time unless they have special permission from the librarian to check out more.
  • Parents and staff can check out as many books and DVD's as they desire.
  • Everyone should only check out as many items as they can take care of and return in a reasonable amount of time (about four weeks).
  • Books may be checked out for as long as it takes to read them.
  • There are no late fees but remember that the books are shared by all of us and it can be agonizing for a person to have to wait weeks and weeks for a desired book to be checked back in.
  • Please bring back damaged books or inform the library if a book has been lost.
  • All families who have lost or damaged books are encouraged to replace the book, pay for the book or donate a similar book.
  • Please view the Donation policy (below) for the donation policy.
  • Students may access the internet but are asked to stay off of Social networking sites. Limited gaming is allowed during free time. Middle schoolers are encouraged to come in to use computers before and after school, class time and for homework and research purposes. Computer time is first come first serve.
  • Snacks and drinks are not allowed in the library, except for water. Water is not allowed near the computers.
