Dr. Olcay Boyacioglu received his bachelor degree in 1998 in Basic and Industrial Microbiology program of the Department of Biology from Ege University in Izmir, Turkey, and immediately started Biotechnology masters program in Izmir Institute of Technology (IzTech). Upon receiving a study-abroad scholarship from Turkish Ministry of National Education on behalf of Middle East Technical University, he went to the United States of America in 2000, quitting his masters education in IzTech.
He received his Masters degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro; and his Doctoral degree in Energy and Environmental Systems from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Later, he worked as a Post-Doctoral researcher in the Departments of Microbiology & Immunology and Cancer Biology at Wake Forest University, School of Medicine.Â
Dr. Boyacioglu returned Turkey in 2013 and joined the Department of Food Engineering in Aydin Adnan Menderes University.
