Hi. My name is Jason Cianfrance and this is my 19th year at Legacy High. This is my 29th year teaching math, and I have taught previously at Longmont High, Green Mountain High, and Northglenn High. Prior to becoming a professional nerd, I was an amateur nerd who attended Colorado State University for his degree and Green Mountain High School for his diploma.
I think Legacy High School is one of the most impressive high schools I have ever seen or had the pleasure to work at. A competent and committed staff, a consistent shared vision, and great students make this school something special.
I have a wonderful wife of 26 years (that’s how long we have been married – not her age) and two great kids, both Legacy graduates! Joslyn attended Western Washington in Bellingham and Jade is a senior at CSU in Fort Collins. Go Rams! I also have two dogs, Bella and Bruno (both Shih Tzus). Bella only has one eye and is blind in it. I have the other one in a jar on my desk. Her new name around the house is "Roomba" and she is an amazing little thing. Bruno is a good brother to her.
I truly believe that all students can be successful in math - it is just a matter of figuring out how it works for them. If you are a student in my class and you can manage to show up every day and try your best, I can pretty much guarantee that you will find success. Please see me either before or after school or at lunch to get extra help whenever you need it.
Have a Great Year!
