WELCOME STUDENTS AND PARENTS

Social Science is Fascinating!

My teaching schedule includes AP Psychology, Sociology, Psychology, and World History, Sociology.  In previous years I have taught World Issues, US Government, Economics, US History, & Health.

Every content area is full of interesting facts, which I try to provide students on a regular basis.

I joined Legacy High in 2005.  In January of 2020 I returned from a one-year teaching exchange in Sydney, Australia, and hope to bring some of my cross-cultural teaching experiences to my classes.

I am proud to sponsor Legacy's Model United Nations Club.

It's a great chance to gain awareness of international issues and compete with like-minded students.

For more information about our club, weekly meetings, and what we do, click on the Model UN link on the top right-hand corner of this page.

Throughout my years as a student, I always loved school because it provided opportunities to learn and socialize with peers. While I realize my students are all coming from different places, I hope to share my love of learning with everyone in my classes.

My educational background includes a Master of Social Science from the University of Colorado in 2011 and a Bachelor of Science from Occidental College in Los Angeles.  I graduated with a Psychology major and History minor.

I received my National Board Certification in 2017, and continue to pursue professional growth each year.

Communication:

After teaching on-line during the Covid pandemic, we have all learned new ways to navigate information on-line.   Teaching, learning, and interacting have been permanently impacted.  We have adapted and grown by challenging ourselves to use new tools and skills.

I have found Google Classroom to be the most user-friendly forum to communicate with students.  If students need help accessing my classes or materials on this platform, I am happy to provide specific instructions and help.

Parents and students, you can find information about your current grade in my class by logging into Infinite Campus, using either the parent or student portal.  The district has extensive resources on how to access Infinite Campus if you need additional support.

Students and parents can always reach me by email to plan an in-person meeting or just ask a question at kendra.e.snyder@adams12.org

I'm reachable by phone at

720-972-6827

My teacher office is A218 and Academic Support Room is B207.  My off periods are 1,3, & 5.

A link to working copies of all course syllabi will be accessible at the top right corner of this page.  The most updated versions will be posted on Google Classroom.
