Code of Conduct for Students in the ACS Aftercare Program
Parents are asked to read the following rules of conduct and discuss them with their children. Consistent misbehavior and disobedience will not be tolerated.
The rules will be the same for Thrive Studio as stated in the Discipline Policy in the Student-Parent Handbook.
Rule violations will be discussed with parents on a daily basis and reported to the principal as needed.
Students are to come immediately to the gathering area when the bell rings at the end of the day.
Students must remain seated during snack time. There is no running around the cafeteria.
Students must ask permission to go to the restroom.
Homework will be done at aftercare, but studying and other activities will need to be completed at home. Test preparation should occur at home. MobyMax or other online work may be completed during the homework session. Some help is given, but this is not a substitute for tutoring.
When homework is completed, students will read a book or participate in a quiet to silent activity until the session ends.
Students must remain seated and quiet during homework time.
Students are responsible for their own belongings from home.
Students are not allowed to go back into the classrooms.
Students must adhere to safety rules for playground equipment.
A snack is given to all Aftercare students daily. Often, children are hungry and the snack may not fill their needs. If you feel that your child requires more food than Aftercare provides, please feel free to send snacks for aftercare in the student’s bookbag.
Students must clean up indoor and outdoor play areas before leaving for the day.
