OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
1. About the Hero - 1 for each meeting!
Look for examples of the hero’s journey or characters. Paraphrase or quote the scene, identify the part of the hero’s journey/character it fits, and explain how it fits the archetype.

2. Discussion Director
Think of good questions (not yes or no) that could start a discussion OR something you are confused about. Try to answer it yourself!
3. Passage Picker
Mark passages that you really like. They can be well written, funny, scary, vivid, thought-provoking, etc. Either paraphrase or quote the passage then explain why you chose that passage.
4. Connector
Find DEEP connections between the story and the outside world, such as your own life, other books, etc.
5. Word Finder
Write down an interesting or unfamiliar word, why you chose it, and record the definition (dictionary or internet) and sentence it was used in.
6. Predictor
Make a prediction about something that you think is going to happen using evidence from the text to explain why.
