Once your student has attended their instrument fitting meeting, here's how to get an instrument...

Please DO NOT purchase a band instrument from a "big box" store.

Band instruments should only be bought at reputable music stores or with your band teacher's guidance through a trusted second-hand source. Instruments from "big box" stores are not well-made and repair parts for these instruments do not exist. Do not throw away your money on these instrument-shaped objects (ISOs).

No student is ever turned away from band in Appleton due to family finances.

The Appleton Area School District has a supply of instruments available to families who qualify for the district's Free/Reduced Lunch Program. Please talk to your school's band teacher if your student needs a district instrument.
