The Tri-M Music Honor Society is the international music honor society for middle/junior high and high school students. It is designed to recognize students for their academic and musical achievements, reward them for their accomplishments and service activities, and to inspire other students to excel at music and leadership.
Skyline High School's Tri-M Chapter, Chapter 6265, has been existence since 2010 with the intent of inspiring music participation, creating enthusiasm for scholarship, stimulating a desire to render service, and promoting leadership in the music students of our school.
purpose statement
The purpose of the chapter is to do the following:
Provide an appropriate method for recognizing the musical achievements of our members
Strengthen our school’s music program
Help our members reach their full musical potential
Motivate and recognize our members’ musical and personal achievements, credits, and grades
Encourage our members to work together toward the same goal
Present inspiration and challenge to our members
Focus public attention on our school’s music program through community service
