Classroom Assessment for Student Learning

Every student can learn...

just not on the same day or in the same way.

This site documents our journey towards a greater understanding of Classroom Assessment for Student Learning(CASL)at Clague Middle School. We strive to establish strong connections with our students by building a classroom culture that is centered on learning rather than on task completion. We will achieve this by providing students with clear learning targets (aligned with our the standards) and will design assessments that measure our students' ability to meet those targets. We will differentiate our instruction and materials to help ALL students meet the learning targets. Additionally, we will work to provide specific feedback to our students and their parents via Powerschool gradebook. We believe this work will help us create a more socially just learning environment and we work to close the learning gap.
