Five Nights at Freddy's is a shocker. A great big blast of terror that will make you jump out of your seat, and keep on doing so for hours at a time. The game puts you in the shoes of a security guard working the night shift at what seems like an innocent pizza restaurant. But as soon as the sun goes down and everyone else heads home, the building takes on an altogether more sinister air.
The animatronic entertainers who spend their days making kids laugh suddenly become much less friendly once darkness falls. And it's your job to stay alive until morning using just your wits and whatever you can scrounge together from the office.
Five Nights at Freddy's has become notorious for its jump scares and eerie atmosphere. It’s also extremely challenging, ramping up in difficulty level as you progress through five nights' worth of terrifyng gameplay.
The game’s success has led to a number of sequels — each with weirder stories and stranger mechanics than the last — but this first entry remains hugely beloved by fans.
If you have any interest in horror games, or if you’re just looking for something to make your skin crawl on Halloween night, Five Nights at Freddy's is surely worth a play
