Tanka
dawn breaks on the hills
mist rises from the river
the sky lights up pink
I drive fast down windy roads
staring down towards the valley
Haiku
sitting on my floor
the coffee spilled on my bed
right down to the floor
Free Verse
Envy creeps like ivy,
clinging to the corners of my mind,
its branches suffocating joy,
a dull ache beneath my skin.
It watches with hungry eyes,
feasting on what I don’t have,
a green tint across my vision,
whispering that there is never enough.
