cambrian remains
a lone figure sprawled within the ocean blue
above him are crystalline windows of sun
shafts of light gracing his pale flesh
below him, fathoms of inky water
sparkling with life
creatures both familiar and long forgotten
silver bones clashing against gloaming scales
whiplike tails and mouths of needles
segmented worms and the shells of ammonoidea
ancient sharks whose eyes have seen through centuries
living fossils suspended in an archaic era
they watch as he drifts down into the endless depth
gleaming eyes follow him back in time

Warm cobblestone wall
Pigeons live in the blue sky
Something is cooking
Cat
Eyes are little fires
Delicate whiskers, silk fur
You’re hungry, aren’t you?
Exoplanets
Goldilocks zone worlds
Places much too far to reach
There is life out there

I don’t like wood spoons
They don’t feel good in my mouth
The thought makes me cry
Germination
Breaching the surface
Small sprout eager for new breath
Reach up to the sun
