ACADEMIC INTERESTS
BUBBLEOLOGY
Explore concepts in physics and chemistry through imaginative experiments with soap bubbles! We will create a lab book and a bubble related read aloud, if time allows. We will test bubble solutions to see which is the best and we will create experiments with different bubble making tools. Bubble prints will be created from a bubble solution and tempera paint as part of an exploration into why bubbles are round. Have you ever been INSIDE a bubble?! Join us for a fun time! You might get wet!!

DINO DISCOVERY: STEM ADVENTURES IN THE AGE OF DINOSAURS
Step into a time machine and travel back to the age of the dinosaurs! In this hands-on STEM class you will dig for fossils, build erupting volcanoes, and create our own dinosaurs! We will explore the science behind theses dinosaurs through fun experiments!

GEOGRAPHY AROUND THE WORLD (CLASS CANCELED)
Welcome to Geography Around the World, an exciting and interactive geography class specially designed for young minds! In this journey, children will embark on a captivating exploration of the diverse and fascinating planet we call home. Through a blend of engaging activities, vibrant visuals, and interactive puzzle games, this class aims to ignite a passion for understanding the world and cultures around us. Dive into the exciting world of maps as we learn to read and understand them. From continents to countries, oceans to mountains, kids will become adept to navigating the globe. This class will culminate in a Geography Bee!

LEGO STEM
In our STEM class, students will tackle a new challenge each week using LEGO bricks to create innovative models. They will build solutions, reflect on their work, and present their designs to the class, explaining their creative process and problem-solving approach. This hands-on learning will encourage students to think outside the box, develop teamwork skills, and build confidence in their abilities. I am excited to have our students explore, create, and grow through this engaging and interactive experience!

SCIENCE WIZARDS
Become a science wizard by understanding and manipulating states of matter with various thrilling, hands-on science activities! In this program, students will be making predictions, forming hypotheses, and observing the results of many experiments. Some of the scientific questions we will be answering are: which solvent will dissolve your favorite candy the fastest, will objects like Squishmallows, pasta, or coins sink or float, and why, what happens when gas needs more space when enclosed in a container, what makes butter so creamy and fluffy? (we will find out as we churn our own butter and enjoy a tasty treat!) We will also create fun projects like lava lamps and slime! It's going to be a fun and interesting experience with lots of fun facts to learn!

TIME TRAVELERS: ADVENTURES THROUGH HISTORY
Calling all young explorers! Get ready to hop in our time machine and journey through the most exciting moments in history! Each day, we'll travel to a different time and place--become an Egyptian pharaoh, train like a medieval knight, march with the Roman legions, and even experience life on the Oregon Trail! Through hands-on crafts, interactive storytelling, role-playing, and exciting challenges, students will uncover the wonders of the past in a way that makes history come alive! Build ancient monuments, crack secret codes, create your own coat of arms, and solve historical mysteries!

NATURE'S CANVAS: CREATING ART WITH SHELLS, ROCKS, STICKS, AND OTHER NATURAL MATERIALS
In Nature's Canvas, students will explore the artistry of using natural materials--such as shells, rocks, sticks, leaves, bark, and other elements of the natural world--as mediums for creative expression. This hands-on course will guide participants through the process of collecting, shaping, and combining organic materials to create unique works of art that reflect the beauty and diversity of nature.

SCRAPBOOKING
Calling all Scrapbookers! Students can spend time crafting and creating during this scrapbooking class! They will learn about what goes in a scrapbook, add various items to their book, and decorate it using patterned paper, stickers, and more! Students can keep their scrapbook for themselves or make it for a loved one as a special gift. At the end of the program, students will have a decorated scrapbook they or a loved one can continue to add to over the years. Please bring 5-10 photos to include in your scrapbook.

FITNESS
YOGA AND MINDFULNESS (CLASSES CANCELED)
This class is a great way to introduce your little one to their body, breath and mind. Using both soothing sounds and calming scents, this class will inspire your child to reach for the stars in various yoga postures and guided meditations! In addition, a small themed craft will be incorporated with each class such as coloring or painting animals to coordinate with the yoga pose of the day. Students will also create their own Zen garden, paint Mandalas on a canvas, and create glitter bottles for mindfulness!

KIDS CAN COOK!
This fun and exciting cooking class will have summer themed recipes that your child will prepare and have the opportunity to eat! Children will get the chance to measure, mix, and see their hard work produce a finished product. Some recipes may include beach brownies, summer sun pancakes, ocean Jello-O and much more!

Calling all young heroes! Suit up and join us for an action-packed cooking adventure where we will whip up marvelous recipes inspired by your favorite superheroes! From smash cookies, pancakes, and shield pizzas, your little chef will learn super kitchen skills while creating heroic treats! With fun, hands-on cooking, and a sprinkle of superhero magic, this class is perfect for kids who love to cook and save the day--one delicious bite at a time! Capes optional, creativity required!

BEACH BOOK CLUB (CLASSES CANCELED)
Come join us for a fun time as we read books such as "The Rainbow Fish" by Marcus Pfister, "A Day at the Beach with the Very Hungry Caterpillar," and "A House for Hermit Crab" by Eric Carle. Students will create crafts that correlate with the book that is read during each class. Some examples are beach glass picture frames, paper stuffed rainbow fish, message in a bottle, and painted paper plate crabs!

Transform your trash into creative works of art! In a world where we need to be increasingly conscious of our environment and our impact on reducing waste, let's take a journey on a mindful approach to waste management. Learn the meaning of recycling and repurposing while finding ways to repurpose discarded items into crafting treasures. Repurposing treasures include a paper roll bumble bee, egg carton flowers, soup can windsocks and more! Art supplies used include markers, colored pencils, glue, gems, paint, and more!

Learn hand stitch and embroidery methods to make fun and functional projects from felt and upcycled fabrics! We will create a sewing kit with pin cushion in a mason jar and start a stitch sampler! Some project ideas include bean bag/hand warmer, felt envelope, embroidery sampler, upcycled appliqued tee shirt, and felted arm warmers.

THE CALMING CORNER
Join Ms. Nappi in a supportive group environment at the Calming Corner, where we will explore strategies to improve calming and emotional regulation skills through the use of books, crafts, science experiments, deep breathing, meditation, and role playing games. We will discuss stress management, learn to identify emotions and conflict resolution strategies, engaging activities to help limit screen time and increase productivity and creativity, and discuss navigating social media safely and appropriately.

SOCCER SHOTS
Soccer Shots coaches will work on individual soccer development, team-building, fun fitness activities and character development. All players can expect an age-appropriate curriculum, non-competitive attitude and skill building. Curriculum and themes change daily. Skills training vary by age group and are taught by trained and experienced coaches. No shin guards or equipment needed, just sneakers. This class is open to beginners as well as those with experience!
