INDIVIDUAL WORKSHOPS

Connect one on one with a Faculty Training Specialist who will guide you through what you need to know to successfully achieve your learning outcomes. Choose one of the topics below to focus on during your session.

These sessions are designed to be hands-on to assist faculty with the build and implementation of their course.

Faculty can register for as many of these sessions as they need as they prepare their course(s).

Length: 45 Minutes

Intended Audience: Any faculty who are building or teaching a course in the Digital Campus.

When You Should Register: You must have access to the Digital Campus and your course prior to registering for one of these sessions.

Details of each workshop topic and scheduling calendar are below.

Starting with the Digital Campus

In this workshop we will focus on logging into your digital campus, basic navigation and introduction to the digital campus. We will cover technical support, zoom integration, setting up your faculty profile and accessing your student roster.

Live Session Functionality

The Live Session Functionality and Strategy workshop 2U Faculty Training Specialist will walk through the agenda of your first live session ensuring you, your material and your live session classroom are ready for your first live session. This session should be scheduled within 3 weeks of your term start.

Teaching Strategies

Connect with a Faculty Training Specialist to prepare for the term start, discuss plans for an upcoming week, review your last few live sessions, or discuss ways to utilize the digital campus.

Adding and Editing Content

This workshop will focus on adding and editing your course content. We will cover the basic tools that will assist you in moving large chunks of materials as well as the adding and editing activities and resources.

Building Assessments

In the building assessment workshop we will cover the basics for creating low stake and high stakes assessments. We will view common assessment settings, open and close dates, restrictions and user overrides (special accommodation setting). We will also cover creating question banks and feedback options.

Gradebook

The gradebook workshop will cover the overall setup of your gradebook. Including graded items, non-graded items, participation grades and more. For faculty that have fully built gradebooks, the focus in this workshop will be focused on grading assignments and quizzes, viewing submitted assignments and the tools you have available to assist in grading.

A fully developed syllabus and some assessments, quizzes or assignments should already be present in your course
