Scott Christian has completed mixed methods research studies in the following fields: culturally responsive teaching, portfolio assessment, writing assessment, tribal scholarship programs, literacy, teacher preparation and others. transformED is a new organization that brings together researchers in diverse fields with experience in qualitative and quantitative methods to collaborate on research in education. transformED has recently completed a mixed methods research project for the Oregon Department of Education, Indian Education Department and the Region 16 Comprehensive Center. Our network bring together evaluators with experience in developmental, formative (process) and summative or impact evaluation. We have the tools and expertise to design an evaluation as part of a grant proposal or a program design. We employ culturally responsive, participatory evaluation methods. Scott Christian has participated in evaluation projects focusing on social justice and equity, including the Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation fellowship program, the Third Day Church Project, and others while working with BECOME. As educators our network connects facilitators with experience in a wide variety of leading and facilitating small and large gatherings, including leadership, professional development and strategic planning meetings. We are also adept at instructional design and facilitating virtual meetings through a variety of tools and strategies. We also have the capacity to design learning experiences based on your needs and desired outcomes. This includes administrative and logistical support, as well as course credit or continuing education units.
Since several of our colleagues are current or former English teachers, we have a wealth of knowledge and experience writing and editing documents in a variety of contexts. Scott Christian has written proposals for competitive grants exceeding 25 million dollars during his career. These include funded proposals to the U.S. Dept. of Education, the Spencer Foundation, the National Science Foundation, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and others. We are available to collaborate and consult for proposal writing for grants, reports or evaluation services.
