Registration

Registration for the 2024-25 season is now open! Register on the Westonka Whitehawks activities site. You will register as well as pay the activity fee for your student(s)! If you register by the registration deadline you will get a free t-shirt! 

The activity fee remains the same as last year: $175 If you’d like to learn more about our fees and other out-of-pocket costs, we have a full breakdown of those details on our Costs page.

Should you need financial assistance, please have a parent contact Jamie in the MWHS Activities Department.

What Happens After Registration?

Once registered, Coach Lhotka will add your student(s) to our team Schoology group, as well as reach out to them regarding our first team meetings.

All students should fill out the Speech Team Questionnaire by Nov. 15th. This form:

1. Allows returning students to indicate which category(ies) they would like to compete in this season.

2. New students take a short “speech personality” self-assessment which helps coaches understand what areas of speech a student may be interested in.

3. Students sign up for one of two Category Placement Workshops (see below)

4. Students indicate their available days/times for coaches to schedule practices.

Category Placement Workshops

New students, and returning students wanting help picking a category, should attend one of two Category Placement Workshops. 

These workshops are a fun hands-on way to try different speaking skill stations and helps coaches determine the best category for students to compete in. Returning students have the option to take part in a Placement Workshop, or to decide which category/ies they plan to compete in.
