The goal of the Nash Bash is to bring our community together to celebrate the life of Michael Alexander Nash. It is open to the public and All ages are welcome.
This year, we will have amazing LIVE Music Performances and Entertainment for everyone, Skateboarding Contests, Raffles, Farmers Market, Food Trucks, Drinks, Face Painting and Tattoos, Trims and Cuts, Art Gallery and Workshops, Book Swap and Authors, Pet Adoptions, Family Fun and Games .

Click on link for more informationNash Bash 25 will feature special presentations from our very own Gladys Porter Zoo. Please go visit their booth from 1PM-5PM. The Gladys Porter Zoo is a visitor-oriented zoological and botanical park, dedicated to the preservation of nature through education, conservation, healthy outdoor recreation and research.
The park is divided into four zoo geographic areas: Africa, Asia, Tropical America and Indo-Australia. There is also a Herpetarium, Aquarium, Tropical America Free-flight Aviary, Macaw Canyon, Bear Grottos and Komodo dragon exhibit. Small World features a nursery and an animal contact yard where children can touch and interact with domesticated animals.

Backstory
Michael Alexander Nash- November 17, 1992- May 3, 2023.
On Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at 8PM, Michael Alexander Nash was in the middle lane on Price Road, waiting to turn left on Paredes Line (in front of the BISD Main Building). He was on his way to our parents' home on Lakeshore drive, less than a minute away.
Our parents had asked him to get some dinner that evening. He gladly obliged by getting some food from a local restaurant. He never made it back home. He was 1 minute away from my parents' home when the freak automobile accident happened.
When the traffic light turned green for Michael to advance, a van, the vehicle who was on the next lane but going straight, cut in front of him. Michael hit the corner of that van that pulled in front of him, this made his Jeep Patriot flip on its side onto oncoming traffic. At that point, two vehicles from oncoming traffic struck his vehicle and killed him.
My little brother Michael was a well-known skater in our community. He easily made friends with whom ever he came in contact with. He loved rock, punk and metal music. He loved art and sported a lot of tattoos. He loved animals and had a heart of gold. Michael's memory lives on in our hearts and minds, forever. We miss him dearly. For that reason and a much more, we bring our community to celebrate Michael's life at the Nash Bash every year.
We are not guaranteed tomorrow, so live your life on purpose. Be kind and pay it forward.

Michael is survived by his loving mother and father, Mary Gretchen Nash and Ron Lee Nash; his older brother, Simon lee Nash-Puente, who was his second rock and always there for him (wife Yadira “Dulce” Puente); his beloved sister, Sarah Nash, who he loved to tease and joke around with and who was always there for him (boyfriend Andrew Ortega); his beloved daughter, Amber Cheyenne; his uncle, Ray Nash (Aunt Linda); his Aunt Karen Bach (Uncle Jim); his uncle Stephen Winans (Aunt Gail); his cousins Travis Nash (wife Elisa), Sean Nash (fiancé Amy), and James Bach (wife Tawnya); his nephews, Seth Lee (girlfriend Caro) and Ian Lee Puente (girlfriend Sofia); Michael’s girlfriend at the time, Hannah; and many other family members.
