Grade 3 Portfolio

INTRODUCTION

Hello my name Myra and this is Bunny and all of my stuffed animal toys. My favourite colours are

💜 purple💜, 🌷pink🌷 and

🌈 rainbow🌈. I live in India, Mumbai.

My Favorite Memory of Grade 3 is

ART FEST

I went to Sanjay Gandhi National Park, at Borivalil, Mumbai. It was an art fest organized by 21k school.

I made two drawings there. One was of flower and the other was a house. It was a cool get-together with kids and their parents. I had lot of fun there.

PICTURE WITH THE

SCHOOL HEAD

In this picture I am standing with the school head.

All the children were having fun. And we enjoyed making paintings. Parents also participated the art fest. Altogether It was a fun filled day.

NATIONAL PARK

After the art fest My mom and I want to visit the national park. We went on the Safari. We saw tigers, lions and antelope and monkeys there.

The tiger you see in the picture is 8 months old.

He is chilling in the pond.

These are among the various projects I have made on PowerPoint and Canva in class.

One of the presentation was about Reasons of Migration.

As, you can see in the pictures there are various reasons and the factors that are responsible for the migration of people from one place to another.

The main factor is livelihood.

SKELETON

Human skeleton, it is the internal skeleton. It serves as a framework for the body. This framework consists of many individual bones and cartilages.

As you can see in the picture there are 5 major functions of skeleton.

The human skeletal system has more than 200 bones

MUSCLES

This project I have made on Muscles.

Muscles are soft tissues. Many stretchy fibers make up your muscles. You have more than 600 muscles in your body. Different types of muscles have different jobs. Some muscles help you run, jump or perform delicate tasks like threading a needle

Moving your body is the main job of your muscles. Muscles move by contracting and relaxing.

KENNING POEM

In a kennings poem, each line is made up of two words joined using a hyphen. The poem itself often takes the form of a riddle, so that the reader has to guess what is being described.

QUANTIFIERS

A quantifier is a word that usually goes before a noun to express the quantity of the object; for example, a little milk. Most quantifiers are followed by a noun.

FIGURATIVE EXPRESSIONS

The adverb figuratively describes something symbolic, not actual.

As, you can see in the picture we are not using active voice for the expression but we are expressing it figuratively.

ADDITION USING GRID METHOD

Here we have learnt addition using grid method.

The total number should be 1000.

I added 2 numbers and then substracted the the sum of 2 number with 1000, in order to get the 3rd number. Hence, the total is 1000.

2D SHAPES

As, you can see in the picture, I have sketch and colored the 2D shapes in the reflective mirror images.

Using the grid and counting the boxes made is super easy.

The original shape and the reelected shape makes a new shape.

TIME

In this picture, I have learnt about time.

Teacher explained us how to read the time using digital clock and analog clock.

Also, she explained about the 24 hours time and the am/pm about the time.

I was a fun learning.

I still don't know the time management though.

FOOD CHAIN

I have made the food chain as one of the project in Science.

In this picture grass is a producer and the butterfly, frog and snake are consumer.

I made it on the flash cards and then stick the flash cards on my drawing book to preserve it.

ENERGY

This pop stick catapult I have made to show the function of the energy.

As, you can see in this picture, it you place anything in the blue cap and then you push it down then let go, that object will fly.

When the arm is released, the cap sends the object flying into the air, transforming the potential energy into kinetic energy.

SOLAR SYSTEM

I started by drawing a large circle toward the left side of the page for the Sun. Then, I drew 9 circles to the right of the Sun so I have 1 for each planet in the solar system,

This picture represents how the plantes orbit around the sun.

CODE MONKEY

I also learnt coding in school.

I learnt code monkey.

It helped me to understand coding using different challenges. In this picture I am using loop method.

ALGORITHM

Algorithm are the step by step instructions about any action.

Here, I have written an algorithm of brushing teeth.

It is very important part of coding in computers.

SHAPES

I have also learnt to draw various shapes in the computer using MS Paint.

In this picture, we can see a Rangoli pattern using various shapes.

Second Language-French

I have opted FRENCH as second language.

ALPHABETS

I have learnt French Alphabets form A to Z

COMPREHENSION ORALE

This was the listening activity wherein we have to listed to the audio and complete the exercise.

It was a fun filled activity.

NOMBRES

Nombres means numbers in English. In this activity we have to count the numbers and match the objects.

Third Language-Spanish

I have opted Spanish as a Third Language.

La Familia means My Family in Spanish.

In this picture I have learnt about various relationship names in Spanish Language.

LOS COLORES

Los Colores means Colors in English language. I have learnt various color names.

LOS NUMEROS

Los Numeros means numbers in English language. I have learnt number names till 100 in Spanish language.

LOS MESES DEL ANO

Los meses del ano means months of the year in English language.

LOS DIAS DE LA SEMANA

Los Dias de la semana means Days of the Week in English language.

ART AND CRAFT

I have made this chocolate bouquet with the help of chocolates, tissue cloth, stick and sponge.

I also, made a rose flower with the help of a satin ribbon.

FANCY DRESS COMPETITION

I have participated in the Fancy Dress Competition. I become a Fairy Princess.

I have wings and a magic wand.

With the help of magic wand I can convert anyone into frog.

I enjoyed it very much.

DANCE COMPETITION

I took part in the Dance Competition.

In this competition we have to perform on any one folk dance of India.

I chose Rajasthani ghoomer dance.

I like the dress and the jewelley I wore.

My feelings for Shikha ma'am

Shikha ma'am is awesome. What can I say about her she is just awesome. She never raises her voice no matter how many times I or anyone asks any question.
