A teacher and a learner, this site provides you with my portfolio of my teaching and learning journey. I recently completed a 24-credit graduate level computer science certificate program through MindSpark and Metro State University.
Who am I?
I worked in the Aspen School District in Colorado from 2014-2022 and have been a Technology Integration Specialist since 2012. I've lived in Europe, Jackson, Wyoming and Bend, OR, and I'm a ski bum at heart!
I've been teaching elementary and middle school since 1997 and am passionate about integrating technology when it enhances student learning. Teaching teachers has been my biggest challenge, but I love it!
My experience and training in education is varied, with much of my work supporting students with primary languages other than English, with additional training in writer's workshop, math, science, and technology. Most of the past decade has been working with educational technology, Google Workspace, data analysis and educating adult learners in these areas.
My focus is on creativity and collaboration in the teaching/learning process, not on the technology. I'm a Google Level 2 Certified Educator, a Google for Education Certified Trainer and a Cognitive Coaching Agency Trainer.
