Jenn is AMAZING! So fun and such a great teacher. She made the game feel so much less intimidating and is a wealth of knowledge and tips, but most of all so personable and fun! Highly, highly recommend!!!

I attended the beginner mahjong 101 class last night and had a wonderful experience. Jen and Katie are incredibly passionate about the game, and that enthusiasm makes learning both engaging and enjoyable. Mahjong can feel overwhelming at first, but they explained everything clearly and at a comfortable pace. They were patient, supportive, and never made anyone feel uncomfortable for asking questions. It’s clear they truly want their students to understand the game and feel confident playing. I left feeling much more comfortable and excited to continue learning. I highly recommend this class to anyone interested in learning American mahjong.
Jennifer was fantastic! She made Mahjong 101 easy to follow, fun, and completely approachable, even for beginners. We had the best time and are already planning our next lesson—can’t wait to play again! 🀄✨
I cannot say enough great things about 12 Sparrow Mahjong! They phenomenal instructors. They are warm, patient, and so much FUN!! They make the game so easy to follow, even for beginners like me. I was hooked after the very first class and bought a set the next day! Their true love for the game shines through in the way they teach. I highly recommend them for a fun, memorable gathering.
We just had a class with 12 Sparrow Mahjong and took Mahjong 101 and Mahjong 102. They are great teachers and very patience and explains everything very clearly. They are very knowledgeable and passionate about Mahjong. I would highly recommend using them if you are thinking of taking a class. 10/10!!
12 Sparrow Mahjong is wonderful! They delivered the perfect mix of weeknight fun and detailed instruction. My group was eight beginners and we learned so much in our first lesson! I’m certain we will be ready to play independently after our second session w these instructors. Such a complex game, but 12 Sparrow Mahjong breaks it down in a way that’s easy to absorb. Thanks so much!
