I have always been obsessed with the beauty industry and everything about it. At a very young age my mom taught me how to take care of my skin, she always told my sister and me how important it is to wash your face and she always bought us the best products. It just stuck with me I guess. When I was finally of age to work, I always had a job in the beauty industry working at cosmetic counters. As much as l loved makeup, it was the skincare products that excited me more. I decided to go to esthetics school in 2000. It's been such an inspiring journey since. I’ve met so many great and knowledgeable humans along the way in this industry. I met Sean, who is not only my business partner but my bestie. And most importantly, I get to help people feel great about themselves.</p>
<p>I love how this industry is forever growing. I enjoy learning about new treatments, technology, and products that I can use in my treatment room to deliver the best results to my patients. When you love what you do it’s not work and I absolutely LOVE my “job”!

I’ve always wanted to get into Medical Aesthetics ever since I can remember, but it’s a tough industry to get into. After practicing Primary Care for the under/uninsured in the Kansas City Metro area for a couple years as a nurse practitioner, I was able to breakthrough. In 2015, I joined a surgical organization where I was the lead nurse practitioner for the facial plastic surgery division. Working there provided me the foundation to my injection career. In 2017, I left this surgical organization and started working in a medical spa where I soon became the Lead Injector. It was at this medical spa that I met Nikky. After working together for a year we decided to open up Face KC Medical Spa in February of 2019. I am now a Master Injector who focuses primarily on injectables and I wouldn’t change a thing!

What are HA Fillers exactly?

Juvederm or Restylane are hyaluronic fillers that are suspended in gel carriers. This gel keeps the hyaluronic ag in place. The hyaluronic Acid immediately draws in water to increase the volume of the area where it is injected. This is great for deep wrinkles and folds on the face, as well as areas that require more volume like the cheeks or lips. These fillers are dissolved naturally with most lasting up to a year and some even longer.

There are various HA Fillers on the market. We use Restylane and Juvederm's HA Fillers for subtle enhancements to dramatic effects. More options and customized results.

What are Neurotoxins?

Botox and Dysport, injectable neurotoxins, can temporarily reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Repetitive muscle contractions can cause wrinkles and facial lines to develop and become deeper over time. Botox/Dysport will temporarily decrease muscle contractions and make skin smoother.

Common areas to treat include the forehead and frown lines. You can see results in as little as two days. However, they will gradually improve over two weeks. When dosed appropriately results may last up to four months.

What is Sculptra, exactly?

Sculptra is a bio stimulatory injectable comprised of poly-L-lactic acid that helps to restore facial volume gradually. When injected it stimulates your own skin's natural ability to produce collagen slowly over time. The poly-L-lactic acids is gradually biodegraded over several months and replaced by a network of new collagen. The treatment areas include the jawline, cheeks and nasolabial folds. Most people will need three treatments within a few months. After that, they only need one treatment each year. The results can last up to two years.

What is Kybella anyway?

Kybella can be used to permanently remove fat cells. Depending on the amount of fat present one to five vials of Kybella may be needed during a single treatment session and multiple treatment sessions may be necessary. The most common area of treatment is the submental fat otherwise known as a 'double chin'. Treatments can be stopped once the desired aesthetic goal was achieved.

What is a Vitamin B-12 Shot?

Vitamin B-12 is an essential vitamin our bodies require to function properly. This injection can help increase energy, improve fatigue, speed up metabolic rate, improve sleep patterns, increase concentration and boost the immune system.

What is HydraFacial, exactly?

What is Dermaplane exactly?

Dermaplaning uses a medical-grade surgical blade to remove the surface layer of dead skin, debris, and hair. A single session can remove about 2-3 weeks worth of built up dead skin cells or debris. Dermplane has no side effects and is completely painless. While it looks similar to shaving, Dermplane is far more effective as the blade is able to reach the top of the skin. You don't have to worry about your hair getting darker. Dermaplaning targets the peach fuzz (vellus hair) which grows back in the same size and color. A surgical blade does not give the illusion of thicker hair. This procedure is painless and requires no downtime.

What is Chemical Peel?

Chemical peels are treatments that use a chemical solution to treat the skin's top layers. Chemical peels will help to improve the skin's texture and radiance, even out the skin tone, diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, help acne-prone skin, and decongest pores. Chemical peels come with a variety of strengths, including deep, medium, and superficial. Improvement in the skin varies depending on your concerns and which peel is selected to address your needs. Multiple treatments are recommended for best results.

What is Clear + Brilliant Laser exactly?

Clear + Brilliant Laser is based on advanced technology, but getting Clear + Brilliant treatments is simple. Clear + Brilliant starts with a consultation. This allows you to discuss your concerns and determine whether Clear + Brilliant is right to treat them. From there, your practitioner can recommend a Clear + Brilliant Laser treatment regimen. You have two options to choose from to address skin texture issues, such as fine lines/wrinkles or poor size or brown spot.

What is an Insta-Glo Facial?

You will be glowing for days with our signature Insta-Glo Facial! It's a combination of a HydroJelly mask and a custom-made ampoule. This is the perfect treatment for your skin.

First, the skin is cleansed and exfoliated. Next, the ampoule will be applied to the skin and infused with our Nano Infusion Pen. The HydroJelly masque can then be applied. The appropriate products are then applied to your skin. You are now ready to go! The treatment is quick and requires little to no downtime.

What is Microneedling exactly?

Microneedling can cause microscopic wounds to the skin. The body's natural wound healing process is stimulated by microneedling. Cellular damage is minimized.

A series of three to six treatments may be recommended depending on your results. This procedure requires minimal downtime.
