Botox Kansas City

Nikky
Co-Owner / Aesthetician

I have always been obsessed with the beauty industry and everything about it. At a very young age my mom taught me how to take care of my skin, she always told my sister and me how important it is to wash your face and she always bought us the best products. It just stuck with me I guess. When I was finally of age to work, I always had a job in the beauty industry working at cosmetic counters. As much as l loved makeup, it was the skincare products that excited me more. I decided to go to esthetics school in 2000. It's been such an inspiring journey since. I’ve met so many great and knowledgeable humans along the way in this industry. I met Sean, who is not only my business partner but my bestie. And most importantly, I get to help people feel great about themselves.

I love how this industry is forever growing. I enjoy learning about new treatments, technology, and products that I can use in my treatment room to deliver the best results to my patients. When you love what you do it’s not work and I absolutely LOVE my “job”!

Sean

Co-Owner / Nurse Practitioner / Nurse Injector
I’ve always wanted to get into Medical Aesthetics ever since I can remember, but it’s a tough industry to get into. After practicing Primary Care for the under/uninsured in the Kansas City Metro area for a couple years as a nurse practitioner, I was able to breakthrough. In 2015, I joined a surgical organization where I was the lead nurse practitioner for the facial plastic surgery division. Working there provided me the foundation to my injection career. In 2017, I left this surgical organization and started working in a medical spa where I soon became the Lead Injector. It was at this medical spa that I met Nikky. After working together for a year we decided to open up Face KC Medical Spa in February of 2019. I am now a Master Injector who focuses primarily on injectables and I wouldn’t change a thing!

It’s a wonderful feeling to be a business owner, but an even better feeling because I’m doing what I’ve always wanted to do-Medical Aesthetics.

What are HA fillers?

Juvederm and Restylane are hyaluronic acid fillers suspended in a gel carrier. This gel helps the hyaluronic acid stay in place where injected. The hyaluronic- acid immediately pulls in water. In this way, it increases volume. This works well for deeper to more severe wrinkles, folds, and areas of the face where more volume is needed. These fillers dissolve naturally with most lasting at least a year. Others may last longer.

There are many options for HA Fillers. Here we use both Restylane and Juvederm HA Fillers to deliver subtle to dramatic enhancements. More options, customized results.

What are Neurotoxins, exactly?

Botox

and Dysport are injectable neurotoxins which can temporarily improve wrinkle appearance. Repetitive muscle contractions can cause wrinkles and lines to appear and grow over time. Botox/Dysport will temporarily decrease muscle contractions and make skin smoother.

Common treatment areas include the forehead, frown lines, and crows feet. The results can be seen in a few days, but they will improve over the next two weeks. You can expect to see results for as long as four months, if you do the right dosage.

What is Sculptra exactly?

Sculptra injectable is a bio stimulatory injection made from poly-L lactic acid. It gradually restores facial volume. It stimulates your skin's natural ability over time to produce collagen. Over several months, the poly-L-lactic acid is biodegraded and replaced with a meshwork of new collagen. The areas that may be treated include the temples, cheeks or nasolabialfolds as well as the jawline. Most people will need three treatments within a few months. After that, they only need one treatment each year. Your results may last for more than two years.

What is Kybella anyway?

Kybella can be used to permanently remove fat cells. Depending upon the amount of fat present, up to five vials (or more) of Kybella might be required during one treatment session. Sometimes multiple sessions are necessary. Submental fat, also known as the 'double chin', is the most common area for treatment. Treatments can stop once a desired aesthetic goal has been reached.

What is a Vitamin B-12 Shot and how do you use it?

Vitamin B-12

is an essential vitamin your body needs in order to function properly. This injection may help with increasing energy levels, improving fatigue, speeding up metabolism, improving sleep patterns, increasing concentration, improving mood, and boosting the immune system to name a few.

What is HydraFacial exactly?

HydraFacial uses patented technology for all skincare needs.

HydraFacial Super Serums are made with nourishing substances that provide instant glow.

To reveal a new layer of skin, the first step is to cleanse and peel the skin. Then a light chemical peel is applied to help resurface the skin and prepare it for painless extractions. The skin is then cleaned using painless suction. The skin is then infused with antioxidants and peptides to enhance its glow. The best thing is that there is no downtime.

What is Dermaplane exactly?

Dermaplaning uses an operating-grade surgical blade to remove the dead skin, debris, or hair layer. A single session can remove about 2-3 weeks worth of built up dead skin cells or debris. Dermplane is painless and non-invasive. While the technique looks like shaving, it's much more effective than that because the blade used is able reach right up against the skin's top layer. There's no reason to be concerned about your hair becoming darker. Dermaplaning works on the vellus (peach fuzz), and the hair grows back exactly the same size. In addition, the way the surgical blade cuts the hair does not create the illusion of thicker hair. There is no downtime.

What is a Chemical Peel?

A chemical peel is a procedure that involves applying a chemical solution on the skin to remove the outer layers of the dermis. Chemical peels will help to improve the skin's texture and radiance, even out the skin tone, diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, help acne-prone skin, and decongest pores. Chemical peels are available in three strengths: superficial, medium and deep. There are many ways to improve your skin. It all depends on what you want and how it is applied. Multiple treatments are recommended for best results.

What is Clear + Brilliant Laser, exactly?

Clear + Brilliant Laser is based on advanced technology, but getting Clear + Brilliant treatments is simple. Clear + Brilliant treatments start with a consultation with your skin care practitioner. This is to determine if Clear + Brilliant is the right treatment for you and to identify any potential problems. The practitioner will recommend a Clear + brilliant Laser treatment program. With two handpieces to choose from either to address skin texture issues like fine lines/wrinkles and poor size or brown spots, there is a perfect treatment option for you!

What is an Insta-Glo Facial?

Insta-Glo Facials will make your skin glow for days! This facial combines a HydroJelly masque along with a customized ampoule that is tailored to your skin.

First, clean and exfoliate your skin. The ampoule is then applied and infused into the skin with our Nano Infusion Pen. The HydroJelly masque can then be applied. After that, the HydroJelly masque is applied. Finally, you can apply the products to your skin. This treatment has little to no downtime.

What is Microneedling and how can it help you?

Microneedling creates microscopic injuries to the skin and stimulates the body's natural wound healing process while minimizing cellular damage.

You may need to do a series between 3 and 6 treatments, depending on your results. This procedure requires minimal downtime.

Lashes & Brows

Our brows and lashes are important! As we all know, lashes and eyebrows are a major part of our overall aesthetic. You color your hair on your head, so why not your lashes and eyebrows? By coloring the hair from the base to the tip, a lash tint or brow tint can give the illusion that they are fuller and more long.

The lash lift will take your lashes to the next level. You can achieve a semi-permanent curl that lasts up to 6 weeks. This will save you time, and allow you to get ready with a lash/brow color and/or lashlift.

You don't have the time to do lash extensions or lash tints? Latisse is an alternative. You can grow your lashes thicker, longer and darker with this daily home treatment in just 8 weeks.

What is Medical-Grade Skincare?

What exactly is medical-grade skincare, you may ask? You might be wondering what medical grade skincare is. These products typically have higher active ingredient concentrations that anything you can buy over-the-counter. That means quicker results in less time. Medical-grade skincare products can penetrate the skin deeper than other products, which is a big advantage over cheaper, more superficial products. Even though some products are more expensive than the ones you might find at the store, you still know that you are purchasing high-quality products that have been clinically evaluated to produce optimal results.

This sounds fantastic, right?! We believe so. This is why we carry three top-rated medical-grade brands of skincare: SkinCeuticals, Alastin, and SkinMedica.
