Hydrafacial Kansas City MO

Nikky
Co-Owner / Aesthetician

I have always been obsessed with the beauty industry and everything about it. At a very young age my mom taught me how to take care of my skin, she always told my sister and me how important it is to wash your face and she always bought us the best products. It just stuck with me I guess. When I was finally of age to work, I always had a job in the beauty industry working at cosmetic counters. As much as l loved makeup, it was the skincare products that excited me more. I decided to go to esthetics school in 2000. It's been such an inspiring journey since. I’ve met so many great and knowledgeable humans along the way in this industry. I met Sean, who is not only my business partner but my bestie. And most importantly, I get to help people feel great about themselves.

I love how this industry is forever growing. I enjoy learning about new treatments, technology, and products that I can use in my treatment room to deliver the best results to my patients. When you love what you do it’s not work and I absolutely LOVE my “job”!

Sean

Co-Owner / Nurse Practitioner / Nurse Injector
I’ve always wanted to get into Medical Aesthetics ever since I can remember, but it’s a tough industry to get into. After practicing Primary Care for the under/uninsured in the Kansas City Metro area for a couple years as a nurse practitioner, I was able to breakthrough. In 2015, I joined a surgical organization where I was the lead nurse practitioner for the facial plastic surgery division. Working there provided me the foundation to my injection career. In 2017, I left this surgical organization and started working in a medical spa where I soon became the Lead Injector. It was at this medical spa that I met Nikky. After working together for a year we decided to open up Face KC Medical Spa in February of 2019. I am now a Master Injector who focuses primarily on injectables and I wouldn’t change a thing!

It’s a wonderful feeling to be a business owner, but an even better feeling because I’m doing what I’ve always wanted to do-Medical Aesthetics.

Juvederm is a hyaluronic-acid filler suspended in a gel. Restylane is also known as Restylane. This gel helps the injectable hyaluronic to remain in place. The hyaluronic Acid immediately draws in water to increase the volume of the area where it is injected. This is great for moderate to deeper wrinkles and folds of the face or areas where more volume is desired like cheeks or lips. These fillers dissolve naturally with most lasting at least a year. Others may last longer.

There are various HA Fillers on the market. For subtle to dramatic enhancements, we've used both Restylane HA Fillers and Juvederm. More options, customized results.

What is a HydraFacial?

HydraFacial is a revolutionary treatment that addresses all your skincare needs.

HydraFacial's super serums have nourishing ingredients that instantly give you a glowing complexion in just a few seconds.

The first step involves gently exfoliating the skin and cleansing it. A light chemical peel is then applied to the skin to resurface it and prepare it for painless extracts. The skin is then cleaned using painless suction. The skin is then infused with antioxidants and peptides to enhance its glow. The best part is there is no downtime!

What is Dermaplane?

Dermaplaning uses an operating-grade surgical blade to remove the dead skin, debris, or hair layer. A single session can remove about 2-3 weeks worth of built up dead skin cells or debris. Dermplane has no side effects and is completely painless. While it looks similar to shaving, Dermplane is far more effective as the blade is able to reach the top of the skin. You don't have to worry about your hair getting darker. Dermaplaning targets the peach fuzz (vellus hair) which grows back in the same size and color. In addition, the way the surgical blade cuts the hair does not create the illusion of thicker hair. This treatment is quick and painless.

What is Chemical Peel?

Chemical peels are treatments that use a chemical solution to treat the skin's top layers. Chemical peels will help to improve the skin's texture and radiance, even out the skin tone, diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, help acne-prone skin, and decongest pores. Chemical peels come with a variety of strengths, including deep, medium, and superficial. There are many ways to improve your skin. It all depends on what you want and how it is applied. To achieve the best results, it is advisable to use multiple treatments.

Microneedling causes microscopic skin injuries and stimulates the body’s natural wound healing process. It also minimizes cellular damage.

A series of three to six treatments may be recommended depending on your results. This procedure has minimal downtime.

Lashes & Brows

Let's not forget about our lashes and brows! We all know that lashes are important in our overall aesthetics. Our brows and lashes are just as important as our hair. The illusion of a fuller brow or lash tint can make them appear longer and fuller by coloring the hair follicles, from tip to base.

A lash lift can take it to the next level. You can achieve a semi-permanent curl that lasts up to 6 weeks. You can save time and avoid using mascara and lash curlers by doing a lash/brow tint or a lash lift instead.

Have a tight schedule? Latisse can help! In just eight weeks, your lashes can be longer, thicker, darker, and more noticeable with this home-based treatment.

What is Medical Grade Skincare?

You might be wondering what medical grade skincare is. Well to start, these skincare products generally have higher active ingredient concentrations than anything you might find over the counter. That means quicker results in less time. Also, medical-grade products penetrate skin deeper than over-the-counter products. While some products may cost more than others, you'll know that the products you purchase are high-quality and have been clinically tested to ensure optimal results.

It sounds great, right? We believe so. You'll see that we have our top picks from three medical-grade skincare brands: SkinCeuticals and SkinMedica.
