Where can I find Hydrafacial Kansas City

Nikky
Co-Owner / Aesthetician

I have always been obsessed with the beauty industry and everything about it. At a very young age my mom taught me how to take care of my skin, she always told my sister and me how important it is to wash your face and she always bought us the best products. It just stuck with me I guess. When I was finally of age to work, I always had a job in the beauty industry working at cosmetic counters. As much as l loved makeup, it was the skincare products that excited me more. I decided to go to esthetics school in 2000. It's been such an inspiring journey since. I’ve met so many great and knowledgeable humans along the way in this industry. I met Sean, who is not only my business partner but my bestie. And most importantly, I get to help people feel great about themselves.

I love how this industry is forever growing. I enjoy learning about new treatments, technology, and products that I can use in my treatment room to deliver the best results to my patients. When you love what you do it’s not work and I absolutely LOVE my “job”!

Sean

Co-Owner / Nurse Practitioner / Nurse Injector
I’ve always wanted to get into Medical Aesthetics ever since I can remember, but it’s a tough industry to get into. After practicing Primary Care for the under/uninsured in the Kansas City Metro area for a couple years as a nurse practitioner, I was able to breakthrough. In 2015, I joined a surgical organization where I was the lead nurse practitioner for the facial plastic surgery division. Working there provided me the foundation to my injection career. In 2017, I left this surgical organization and started working in a medical spa where I soon became the Lead Injector. It was at this medical spa that I met Nikky. After working together for a year we decided to open up Face KC Medical Spa in February of 2019. I am now a Master Injector who focuses primarily on injectables and I wouldn’t change a thing!

It’s a wonderful feeling to be a business owner, but an even better feeling because I’m doing what I’ve always wanted to do-Medical Aesthetics.

What are HA fillers?

Juvederm and Restylane are hyaluronic acid fillers suspended in a gel carrier. This gel allows the hyaluronic acids to stay in place when injected. The hyaluronic- acid immediately pulls in water. In this way, it increases volume. This is ideal for areas with more volume, such as cheeks or lips, or wrinkles that are deeper or more prominent. These fillers dissolve naturally and can last up to one year, with some lasting even longer.

There are many options for HA Fillers. This combination of Restylane (and Juvederm) HA fillers is used to provide subtle to dramatic enhancements. You can have customized results.

What are Neurotoxins?

Botox

and Dysport are injectable neurotoxins which can temporarily improve wrinkle appearance. Repetitive muscle contractions can lead to facial lines and wrinkles that get deeper and deeper over time. Botox and Dysport temporarily reduce muscle contractions. This will make the skin look smoother.

The forehead, frown lines and crows feet are all common areas for treatment. Although results are visible in a few days following treatment, the effects will last for two weeks. When dosed appropriately results may last up to four months.

What is sculpture?

Sculptra, a biostimulatory injectable made of poly-L–lactic acid, helps gradually restore facial volume. It stimulates the natural production of collagen in your skin by slowly injecting it. The poly-L-lactic acids is gradually biodegraded over several months and replaced by a network of new collagen. The treatment areas include the jawline, cheeks and nasolabial folds. In the beginning, most people will need three treatments spread over several months. Then they may only require one treatment every year. Results can last more than two years!

What is Kybella?

Kybella is an approved injectable treatment that permanently eliminates fat cells. A single session may require up to five Kybella vials depending on how much fat is present. Additional sessions may be necessary depending on the extent of the treatment. The submental fat, otherwise known as a double chin, is the most common area that requires treatment. Once a desired aesthetic goal is achieved, treatments can be stopped.

What is a Vitamin B-12 Supplement?

What is HydraFacial, exactly?

HydraFacial treats all skin needs. It uses patented technology to clean, extract and hydrate the skin.

HydraFacial super serums are made with nourishing ingredients that create an instant glow in just a few steps.

To reveal a new layer of skin, the first step is to cleanse and peel the skin. Next, a light chemical peel will be applied to smoothen the skin and prepare it in order for painless extractions. Next, debris is extracted from the pores with painless suction. Finally, the skin is moisturized. For a glowing skin, antioxidants or peptides will be infused into the skin. The best part? There's no downtime!

What is Dermaplane and how does it work?

Dermaplaning is a surgical procedure that uses a medical-grade blade to remove dead skin and other debris. A single session can remove about 2-3 weeks worth of built up dead skin cells or debris. Dermplane is completely painless and non-invasive. While the technique looks like shaving, it's much more effective than that because the blade used is able reach right up against the skin's top layer. There's no reason to be concerned about your hair becoming darker. Dermaplaning works on the vellus (peach fuzz), and the hair grows back exactly the same size. A surgical blade does not give the illusion of thicker hair. There is no downtime with this treatment.

What is a Chemical Peel?

Chemical peels are treatments that use a chemical solution to treat the skin's top layers. Chemical peels are a great way to improve the skin's texture, radiance, reduce wrinkles, decongest pores, treat acne-prone skin and help with fine lines. Chemical peels come with a variety of strengths, including deep, medium, and superficial. You can see a difference in your skin depending on your concerns, and which peel you choose to address them. Multi-treatments are best for the best results.

What is Clear + Brilliant Laser and how do you define it?

Clear + Brilliant Laser uses advanced technology. However, Clear + Brilliant treatments are easy to obtain. Clear + Brilliant treatments begin with a consultation. This is where your practitioner will determine if Clear + Brilliant treatment is right for you. Your practitioner will recommend a Clear+Bright Laser treatment. There are two handpieces available to treat skin texture issues such as fine lines/wrinkles, poor size spots or brown spots.

What is an Insta-Glo Facial?

You will be glowing for days with our signature Insta-Glo Facial! It combines a HydroJelly masque with a custom ampoule to address your skin's needs.

First, wash and exfoliate the skin. Then the ampoule is applied and is infused into the skin using our Nano Infusion Pen. The HydroJelly masque can then be applied. The HydroJelly mask is then applied to your face. This treatment has little to no downtime.

What is Microneedling and how can it help you?

Microneedling causes microscopic skin injuries and stimulates the body’s natural wound healing process. It also minimizes cellular damage.

Depending on your results a series of 3 to 6 treatments may be recommended. There is minimal downtime with this procedure.

Lashes & Brows

Let's not forget about our lashes and brows! We all know that our lashes, and brows, play an important role in our overall aesthetic. Our brows and lashes are just as important as our hair. It can make your lashes look longer or fuller with a brow tint. This is done by coloring the hair's follicles from root to tip.

A lash lift can take it to the next level. You can get a semi-permanent curl to your eyelashes that will last for as long as 6 weeks. You can save time and avoid using mascara and lash curlers by doing a lash/brow tint or a lash lift instead.

You don't have the time to do lash extensions or lash tints? Latisse? In as little as eight weeks, this at-home treatment can lengthen your lashes and make them thicker and darker.

What is Medical Grade Skincare?

What is medical grade skincare you might ask? These skincare products have higher active ingredients than what you would find in the store. That means quicker results in less time. Medical-grade skincare products can penetrate the skin deeper than other products, which is a big advantage over cheaper, more superficial products. Although certain products may be more costly than the over-the-counter options, you can rest assured that you're getting high quality products that have been clinically validated to deliver optimal results.

It sounds great, right? We think so. So you will find our favorites products from three different medical-grade skin care brands: SkinCeuticals & SkinMedica.
