Lip fillers Kansas City

Nikky
Co-Owner / Aesthetician

I have always been obsessed with the beauty industry and everything about it. At a very young age my mom taught me how to take care of my skin, she always told my sister and me how important it is to wash your face and she always bought us the best products. It just stuck with me I guess. When I was finally of age to work, I always had a job in the beauty industry working at cosmetic counters. As much as l loved makeup, it was the skincare products that excited me more. I decided to go to esthetics school in 2000. It's been such an inspiring journey since. I’ve met so many great and knowledgeable humans along the way in this industry. I met Sean, who is not only my business partner but my bestie. And most importantly, I get to help people feel great about themselves.

I love how this industry is forever growing. I enjoy learning about new treatments, technology, and products that I can use in my treatment room to deliver the best results to my patients. When you love what you do it’s not work and I absolutely LOVE my “job”!

Sean

Co-Owner / Nurse Practitioner / Nurse Injector
I’ve always wanted to get into Medical Aesthetics ever since I can remember, but it’s a tough industry to get into. After practicing Primary Care for the under/uninsured in the Kansas City Metro area for a couple years as a nurse practitioner, I was able to breakthrough. In 2015, I joined a surgical organization where I was the lead nurse practitioner for the facial plastic surgery division. Working there provided me the foundation to my injection career. In 2017, I left this surgical organization and started working in a medical spa where I soon became the Lead Injector. It was at this medical spa that I met Nikky. After working together for a year we decided to open up Face KC Medical Spa in February of 2019. I am now a Master Injector who focuses primarily on injectables and I wouldn’t change a thing!

It’s a wonderful feeling to be a business owner, but an even better feeling because I’m doing what I’ve always wanted to do-Medical Aesthetics.

What are HA Fillers?

Juvederm and Restylane, hyaluronic Acid fillers, are suspended within a gel carrier. This gel helps the injection of hyaluronic Acid stay in its place. The hyaluronic acid works immediately by pulling in water, therefore, increasing the volume where injected. This works well for deeper to more severe wrinkles, folds, and areas of the face where more volume is needed. These fillers are dissolved naturally with most lasting up to a year and some even longer.

There are various HA Fillers on the market. Here we use both Restylane and Juvederm HA Fillers to deliver subtle to dramatic enhancements. You can have customized results.

What are Neurotoxins exactly?

Botox and Dysport, injectable neurotoxins, can temporarily reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Repetitive muscle contractions can cause wrinkles and lines to appear and grow over time. Botox or Dysport temporarily weakens these muscle contractions, making the skin appear smoother.

The forehead, frown lines and crows feet are all common areas for treatment. The results can be seen in a few days, but they will improve over the next two weeks. When dosed appropriately results may last up to four months.

What is Sculptra exactly?

Sculptra is a bio-stimulatory injectable that contains poly-L-lactic Acid. It helps to gradually restore facial volume. When injected it stimulates your own skin's natural ability to produce collagen slowly over time. The poly-L–lactic acid is biodegraded gradually and replaced by a matrix of new collagen over several months. Treatment areas may include, temples, cheeks, nasolabial folds, and jawline. Most initially will require three treatments over a couple of months and then just one treatment annually. Your results may last for more than two years.

What is Kybella exactly?

Kybella is an injectable treatment approved to permanently destroy fat cells. Depending on the amount and type of fat, one to five Kybella vials might be necessary. Multiple treatment sessions may also be required. The submental fat, otherwise known as a double chin, is the most common area that requires treatment. Treatments can stop once a desired aesthetic goal has been reached.

What is a Vitamin B-12 Supplement?

Vitamin B-12 can be considered an essential vitamin. This injection can help increase energy, improve fatigue, speed up metabolic rate, improve sleep patterns, increase concentration and boost the immune system.

What is a HydraFacial?

HydraFacial treats all skin needs. It uses patented technology to clean, extract and hydrate the skin.

HydraFacial Super Serums are made with nourishing substances that provide instant glow.

To reveal a new layer of skin, the first step is to cleanse and peel the skin. Then a light chemical peel is applied to help resurface the skin and prepare it for painless extractions. Next, the pores are cleaned out using painless suction and the skin is nourished. The skin is then infused with antioxidants and peptides to enhance its glow. The best part is there is no downtime!

What is Dermaplane and how does it work?

Dermaplaning uses an operating-grade surgical blade to remove the dead skin, debris, or hair layer. A single session of Dermaplaning can remove 2-3 weeks of buildup from the skin's dead skin cells. Dermplane is painless and non-invasive. Although it may look like shaving, dermplane is more efficient because the blade can reach the top layer of the skin. The hair will not grow back darker - dermaplaning targets vellus hairs (peach fuzz), which are the same size as the original. It does not appear thicker due to the way that the blade is used. There is no downtime with this treatment.

What is Chemical Peel?

A chemical peel involves the application of a chemical solution to the skin to remove the upper layers of the dermis. Chemical peels can improve skin texture and radiance as well as reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. They also help decongest and treat acne-prone skin. Chemical peels are available with different strengths. Your concerns and the type of peel you select will determine how much improvement your skin receives. Multi-treatments are best for the best results.

What is Clear + Brilliant Laser?

Clear + Brilliant Laser's advanced technology is used to provide Clear + Brilliant treatments. All treatments begin with a consultation with your skincare practitioner to see if Clear + Brilliant is right for you - and to pinpoint some of the key trouble spots it can help address. Your practitioner will then recommend a Clear+ Brilliant Laser treatment plan. With two handpieces to choose from either to address skin texture issues like fine lines/wrinkles and poor size or brown spots, there is a perfect treatment option for you!

What is an Insta-Glo Facial?

Insta-Glo Facials are guaranteed to leave your skin glowing for many days. This combination of a HydroJelly masque and an ampoule is designed to meet your specific skin needs.

First, the skin is cleansed and exfoliated. Next, the ampoule will be applied to the skin and infused with our Nano Infusion Pen. After that, HydroJelly is applied. Finally, the correct products are applied to your skin. There is very little downtime with this treatment.

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling causes microscopic skin injuries and stimulates the body’s natural wound healing process. It also minimizes cellular damage.

Depending on your results a series of 3 to 6 treatments may be recommended. This procedure requires minimal downtime.

Lashes & Brows

Our brows and lashes are important! As we all know, lashes and eyebrows are a major part of our overall aesthetic. You color your hair on your head, so why not your lashes and eyebrows? You can create the illusion of longer lashes and brows by tinting the hair follicles.

You can make it even more dramatic with a lashlift. Semi permanent curls can be achieved with this procedure that can last for up to six weeks. You can save time and avoid using mascara and lash curlers by doing a lash/brow tint or a lash lift instead.

Don't have time for a lash tint or lash extensions? Try some Latisse! In as little as eight weeks, this at-home treatment can lengthen your lashes and make them thicker and darker.

What is Medical Grade Skincare?

What exactly is medical-grade skincare, you may ask? These skincare products have higher active ingredients than what you would find in the store. That means quicker results in less time. Medical-grade skincare products can penetrate the skin deeper than other products, which is a big advantage over cheaper, more superficial products. Although some products might be more expensive than those you can buy over-the-counter, you will know that you are getting top-quality products with clinically proven results.

This sounds fantastic, right?! We agree. We offer three of our favourite products from medical-grade skincare brands, SkinCeuticals (and SkinMedica)
