Kansas City MO Botox

Nikky
Co-Owner / Aesthetician

I have always been obsessed with the beauty industry and everything about it. At a very young age my mom taught me how to take care of my skin, she always told my sister and me how important it is to wash your face and she always bought us the best products. It just stuck with me I guess. When I was finally of age to work, I always had a job in the beauty industry working at cosmetic counters. As much as l loved makeup, it was the skincare products that excited me more. I decided to go to esthetics school in 2000. It's been such an inspiring journey since. I’ve met so many great and knowledgeable humans along the way in this industry. I met Sean, who is not only my business partner but my bestie. And most importantly, I get to help people feel great about themselves.

I love how this industry is forever growing. I enjoy learning about new treatments, technology, and products that I can use in my treatment room to deliver the best results to my patients. When you love what you do it’s not work and I absolutely LOVE my “job”!

Sean

Co-Owner / Nurse Practitioner / Nurse Injector
I’ve always wanted to get into Medical Aesthetics ever since I can remember, but it’s a tough industry to get into. After practicing Primary Care for the under/uninsured in the Kansas City Metro area for a couple years as a nurse practitioner, I was able to breakthrough. In 2015, I joined a surgical organization where I was the lead nurse practitioner for the facial plastic surgery division. Working there provided me the foundation to my injection career. In 2017, I left this surgical organization and started working in a medical spa where I soon became the Lead Injector. It was at this medical spa that I met Nikky. After working together for a year we decided to open up Face KC Medical Spa in February of 2019. I am now a Master Injector who focuses primarily on injectables and I wouldn’t change a thing!

It’s a wonderful feeling to be a business owner, but an even better feeling because I’m doing what I’ve always wanted to do-Medical Aesthetics.

What are HA fillers, exactly?

Juvederm, Restylane and other hyaluronic acids fillers are suspended in a gel carrier. This gel helps the injection of hyaluronic Acid stay in its place. The hyaluronic a immediately works by drawing in water. This increases the volume. This works well for deeper to more severe wrinkles, folds, and areas of the face where more volume is needed. These fillers are dissolved naturally with most lasting up to a year and some even longer.

There are many HA Fillers available. To deliver dramatic enhancements, we use Restylane as well as Juvederm. You can have customized results.

What are Neurotoxins?

Botox

and Dysport are injectable neurotoxins which can temporarily improve wrinkle appearance. Repetitive muscle contractions can cause wrinkles and lines to appear and grow over time. Botox or Dysport temporarily weakens these muscle contractions, making the skin appear smoother.

The forehead, frown lines and crows feet are all common areas for treatment. The results can be seen in a few days, but they will improve over the next two weeks. The effects of the treatment can last for up to four months if administered correctly.

What is Sculptra, exactly?

Sculptra uses poly-L lactic acids to slowly restore facial volume. When injected it stimulates your own skin's natural ability to produce collagen slowly over time. The poly-L–lactic acid is biodegraded gradually and replaced by a matrix of new collagen over several months. Treatment areas can include the jawline and temples. In the beginning, most people will need three treatments spread over several months. Then they may only require one treatment every year. The results can last up to two years.

What is Kybella exactly?

Kybella can be used to permanently remove fat cells. One to five Kybella vials may be required depending on the amount of fat. Multiple sessions may be required. The most common area of treatment is the submental fat otherwise known as a 'double chin'. Treatments can be stopped once the desired aesthetic goal was achieved.

What is a Vitamin B-12 Supplement?

Vitamin B-12 is an essential vitamin that our body requires in order to function properly. This injection may help with increasing energy levels, improving fatigue, speeding up metabolism, improving sleep patterns, increasing concentration, improving mood, and boosting the immune system to name a few.

What is HydraFacial?

HydraFacial is a revolutionary treatment that addresses all your skincare needs.

HydraFacial Super Serums are made with nourishing substances that provide instant glow.

The first step involves gently exfoliating the skin and cleansing it. Next, a light chemical peel will be applied to smoothen the skin and prepare it in order for painless extractions. Next, debris from the pores is removed using painless suction. The skin is then nourished. For a glowing skin, antioxidants or peptides will be infused into the skin. There is absolutely no downtime.

What is Dermaplane exactly?

Dermaplaning uses a medical-grade surgical blade to remove the surface layer of dead skin, debris, and hair. A single session can remove about 2-3 weeks worth of built up dead skin cells or debris. Dermplane does not require any pain and is non-invasive. Although it may look like shaving, dermplane is more efficient because the blade can reach the top layer of the skin. The hair will not grow back darker - dermaplaning targets vellus hairs (peach fuzz), which are the same size as the original. A surgical blade does not give the illusion of thicker hair. This treatment does not require downtime.

What is a Chemical Peel?

Chemical peels are treatments that use a chemical solution to treat the skin's top layers. Chemical peels will help to improve the skin's texture and radiance, even out the skin tone, diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, help acne-prone skin, and decongest pores. Chemical peels are available in three strengths: superficial, medium and deep. You can see a difference in your skin depending on your concerns, and which peel you choose to address them. To achieve the best results, it is advisable to use multiple treatments.

What is Clear + Brilliant Laser and how do you define it?

Clear + Brilliant Laser's advanced technology is used to provide Clear + Brilliant treatments. Clear + Brilliant treatments start with a consultation with your skin care practitioner. This is to determine if Clear + Brilliant is the right treatment for you and to identify any potential problems. From there, your practitioner can recommend a Clear + Brilliant Laser treatment regimen. There are two handpieces available to treat skin texture issues such as fine lines/wrinkles, poor size spots or brown spots.

What is an Insta-Glo Facial?

Our signature Insta-Glo Facial will leave you glowing for days! It's a combination of a HydroJelly mask and a custom-made ampoule. This is the perfect treatment for your skin.

The skin must be cleansed and exfoliated first. The ampoule then gets applied to the skin. After that, HydroJelly is applied. The appropriate products are then applied to your skin. You are now ready to go! This treatment requires very little or no downtime.

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling inflicts tiny injuries on the skin. This stimulates the body's natural healing process and minimizes cellular damages.

Based on your results, a series of 3-6 treatments may be recommended. This procedure has minimal downtime.

Lashes & Brows

Don't forget your brows, lashes, and brows. We all know that our lashes, and brows, play an important role in our overall aesthetic. The hair on our heads is colored so why not the brows and eyelashes? You can create the illusion of longer lashes and brows by tinting the hair follicles.

Take it up a notch with a lash lift. Semi permanent curls can be achieved with this procedure that can last for up to six weeks. Don't use mascara or curler on your lashes. Instead, save your time by using a lash/brow pigment and/or lash lifting.

Have a tight schedule? Latisse is a great alternative! You can grow your lashes thicker, longer and darker with this daily home treatment in just 8 weeks.

What is Medical-Grade Skincare?

Perhaps you are wondering what medical grade skincare means. First, medical-grade skincare products are more concentrated than any other brands. That means quicker results in less time. Furthermore, over-the counter skincare products tend to be more superficial and can penetrate deeper into your skin with medical-grade skincare products. Although some products might be more expensive than those you can buy over-the-counter, you will know that you are getting top-quality products with clinically proven results.

That sounds amazing, right? We think so too. You'll see that we have our top picks from three medical-grade skincare brands: SkinCeuticals and SkinMedica.
