About Me

Hello!

This is my 17th year teaching Art at the High School level. I was born and raised in Ohio and I have a BFA in Studio Art from Ohio Northern University with a minor in Education. During my undergraduate degree I did study abroad in Florence, Italy and was able to learn Art History by traveling to different countries. I also played Rugby in college (I played Prop!). I moved to Austin and completed my Masters Degree from St. Edwards University with an MLA in Art History. For my Master's program I was selected to study abroad in China. I focused on Porcelain and my art studio was  in Jingdezhen. During that time I got to travel to numerous cities for my Art History class. I love traveling the world and I absolutely love my job. I am so lucky to witness students reach their potential through the power of art and build their creativity skills. I teach full time  and also teach classes at Cordovan Art School every week.

I have a amazing husband that also teaches at CRHS and three sons, age 12,10, and 7 that keep me very busy. In my free time I like to travel, read, draw, walk my dog, and spend time at the beach.

Last year a student turned me into Leonardo daVinci's Mona Lisa. Check it out :)
