Washington Elementary got an updated look thanks to the efforts of a couple dedicated staff members. This touching tribute includes one heart to represent every student and staff member at Washington! "When the world stayed apart, Washington stayed together."

In honor of the 5th grade band concert that was scheduled this week, fifth-grade band teacher, Mr. Kamp, recorded Darkwing by Peter Terry for the students. He says he "misses making music together!"

Going along with the theme of Resilience, our goal was to see how we are all holding up. I think we are doing alright!

Students should be receiving their new packet of learning materials this week! These resources are intended to provide review, extension and enrichment of the content offered at each child’s grade level. Again, there is no pressure to get through all of it or to complete the activities within a certain time frame. These activities are meant for students to use at their own pace, as works best for each child. Therefore, do what works for you as a family and no papers from these packets need to be returned or sent back.

During the last virtual assembly on May 1, our teachers put together their own version of Masked Entertainer! See if you can guess who's who!

Some of our wonderful students put together a video using the One Voice Children's Choir as a backdrop.

On Friday, April 24, 2020 Washington Elementary held their weekly Virtual Assembly. During this assembly, everyone participating were treated to a video featuring music teacher Val Troxel and Nick Meinel, 4th grade teacher, who wrote and sang a "new" version of A Whole New World! Enjoy this video about our new reality of at-home learning.
