On this page you will find updates, a Homework/Event Calendar, course links and helpful tools for navigating my Contemporary Athletic Issues course. This course is designed to help students explore culture, race, ethnicity, gender, social issues and human psychology through the historical lens of athletics. In this exploration students will be tasked with developing an awareness and set of skills that will better prepare them for engaging with some of the contemporary societal issues in our world today. This course is propelled by projects and discussions; therefore students should be aware that to be successful in this course they must be organized and self-motivated.
This website does not replace writing the homework down in class. If an assignment is given in class but is not immediately updated on this site students will still be held accountable for completing the assignment given in class. This site is an added benefit for clarifying homework and accessing course documents.

Along with this website students will be using Google Classroom. Assignments will be posted on our Google Classroom page and will automatically update on the Calendar located below. Some assignment will need to turned in directly on Google Classroom. Please make sure you use the correct class code to enroll in this course.
