During my lengthy tenure as a member of the West Lyon Social Studies department, I have taught (at various times) American History, World History, Sociology, Economics, and World Geography. At one time or another I've also coached boys and girls junior high basketball, junior high baseball and football, 9th grade and junior varsity baseball, and golf.

I earned my bachelors degree from Wayne State College (NE) and my masters degree from the University of Northern Iowa.

My wife Denise and I have lived in Inwood throughout our time at West Lyon, and are the parents of Blair and Keely (both West Lyon graduates). We've also been blessed with two amazing granddaughters. We enjoy traveling, movies, and attending West Lyon school activities. I read extensively, I'm an Iowa Hawkeyes fan, and am absolutely addicted to the history of professional baseball (Go Yankees!).
