Finding a career is difficult for any 17 to 18 year old student who is also trying to decide where they will spend the next 4 years.  Baseball has always been apart of my life and assisted in answering both of the questions above.  I am from Taylors, SC, originally.  Given the opportunity to play baseball at Newberry College was the biggest blessing in my life to this point.  While attending Eastside High School, I was able to assist with the Special Needs classroom and discovered my true calling; teaching.  I chose physical education because I not only love sports and believe your physical health is one of the most important aspects of life, but also because of the opportunity to work with special needs students within my classroom. When asked why I am pursuing a career in physical education, I answer with one simple phrase: "Things will come and go in a child's life, but you can be the one constant thing when they walk through the school doors".   I am extremely happy and excited to be apart of Brook Glenn Elementary as well as Crestview Elementary.  Given this opportunity to work in the community where I was raised was something that I could not turn down!
