Scott Schmitt

Varsity Boys Head Coach

Coach Schmitt is beginning his 7th year coaching soccer at Whitewater High School, and his first year serving as the Head Soccer Coach.


Prior to coming to Whitewater, Coach Schmitt served as the assistant girls coach helping guide the McIntosh Lady Chief Soccer team to back to back state championships in 2004, 2005, and a State Runner Up title in 2006. Coach Schmitt was named Assistant Coach of the Year in 2004 and 2005.

Coach Schmitt is married to Caroline and has two sons, Brennen and Justin.

Sean Estep

Varsity Girls Head Coach

Coach Estep has over fifteen years of coaching experience and is entering his fourth year with the girls program at Whitewater High School. After serving as the JV Girls Head Coach in his first year, he then served as the Varsity Girls Assistant Coach and is now the Varsity Girls Head Coach. His coaching experience includes youth clubs in Fayette and Cobb Counties in both Athena and Classic divisions, as well as teams in the Region III Premier League, Atlanta Silverbacks Super Y, and the Olympic Development Program. Coach Estep also served as the goalkeeper trainer for both the men’s and women’s programs at Atlanta Christian College for the ‘02-’03 season.

Growing up, Sean was a goalkeeper who played club soccer in Coweta County and attended and played for McIntosh High School. After graduation, Sean attended Ohio Valley University on a Division II scholarship as the starting goalkeeper for the ‘98-’99 season. He then started all three years at Atlanta Christian College (now Point University) and served as the team’s co-captain for his junior and senior years, earning an Academic Honor Award as a senior and graduating Cum Laude.

Coach Estep is now in his nineteenth year as a special education teacher in Fayette County and his third year with the Whitewater High School family.


Ron Rineer

JV Boys Coach


Ron Rineer joins the Whitewater Boys Varsity team this season. This is Coach Rineer’s 26th season as a Soccer Coach having served as a Head Coach at East Coweta High School, LaGrange High School, and The Heritage School. During this time Coach Rineer spent 11 seasons coaching boys and 10 seasons coaching girls. In 2006 Coach Rineer was awarded the GA State Coach of the Year Award leading the LaGrange Boys team to a #2 ranking in the state.

Coach Rineer grew up in Baltimore, MD playing on multiple club teams and twice playing in the state Final Four. After high school Coach attended the University of Delaware where he majored in Business Administration continuing his playing career through college and joining multiple men’s leagues until Father Time slowed him down. Coach Rineer currently holds an Advanced National License from the NSCAA.

Coach Rineer has earned a BS Degree in Business, an M.Ed. in Business Administration, an ED.S. in Business Administration and his ED.S. in Educational Leadership. He currently teaches Financial Literacy, Economics, and AP Human Geography classes at Whitewater High School. Coach Rineer has been married to his wife, Pam, for 29 years and has 3 daughters: Jordan, who attends UGA, and Alex and Kathryn who are currently attending SMHS.



Haleigh Meuninck

Varsity Girls Assistant Coach


Coach Meuninck has 3 years of experience coaching youth soccer for Tormenta FC in Savannah, GA. This is her first year coaching for Whitewater High School serving as the girl’s assistant varsity coach.

Growing up, Coach Meuninck played club soccer for AFC Lightning ‘98 Elite and was a 4-year varsity starter and a 3-year captain for Whitewater High School. During her time playing for WHS, the team was state runner-ups, semifinalists, and region champions. Coach Meuninck also earned First-Team All-County, All-Region, and All-State honors. After graduation, she continued her soccer career on a scholarship at Division II Armstrong State University before it merged with Georgia Southern.


Coach Meuninck received her Bachelor’s degree from Southern in 2020 and will receive her Master’s degree from Mercer University in May 2022.
