Call for Proposals

“And we stand today on the edge of a new frontier, the frontier of unknown opportunities and perils. ... Beyond that frontier are uncharted areas of science and space, unsolved problems of peace and war, unconquered problems of ignorance and prejudice, unanswered questions of poverty and surplus. ... I'm asking each of you to be pioneers towards that New Frontier.” John F. Kennedy, 1960

Conference Theme

Throughout history, numerous frontiers have played a role in shaping the course of human civilization. Individuals and societies pushed the boundaries of knowledge and technology; borderlands have been sites of both conflict and cultural change, while “big history” binds this tapestry of human diversity together. The World History Association of Texas  invites conference proposals that examine the notion of frontiers within a particular political, social, economic, and/or geographic context.

Call for Proposals

The program committee invites interested K12 teachers, college and university faculty, graduate/undergraduate students of history, and independent researchers to submit proposals for consideration.
