How to Submit a Paper?

IEEE VIS 2020 Workshop on Visualization Psychology (VisPsych)

October 26, 2020, Salt Lack City, Utah, USA

IEEE VIS 2020 VisPsych (Workshop on Visualization Psychology) solicits submissions of short position papers. The main text of each short position paper is of no more than two pages. The submission deadline is July 25, 2020.

Submission Guidelines:

Short position papers can be up to two pages plus up to one page of references. Submissions will be in the VGTC conference two-column format, in line with the IEEE VIS formatting guidelines.

To submit a short position paper to the VisPsych workshop,

  1. Go to the PCS System

  2. Select <Submissions> at the top menu bar

  3. Under "Submissions", select [VGTC] > [VIS 2020] > [VIS2020 VisPsych], and press <GO>

  4. Under "Existing Submissions", locate the newly created submission

Publication Details:

Accepted short position papers will be presented at the workshop during the VIS 2020 conference. The authors are required to place their papers at arXiv as open-access reports. This enables the position paper to be cited by future works on the related topic, while allowing the authors to explore opportunities for a formal publication. VisPsych 2020 will list all accepted papers in its program with links to the corresponding arXive reports.

The workshop co-chairs are exploring opportunities for post-workshop publications. e.g., by inviting authors of accepted position papers to submit full papers to a special issue of a journal or an edited book volume.

Important Dates:

The main entry of this workshop at the IEEE VIS 2020 web site does not have a link to this web site due to an unknown reason beyond our control. This was fixed on June 27, 2020, until then many authors had not been able to find the information relevant to the call and submission. The co-chairs have provided an extension of the submission deadline.
