About Us
Two Rivers Career Education System, EFE #250 is one of sixty consortiums set up in the state of Illinois. We are directed to be a delivery system for state and federal funds for Career and Technical Education classes. These funds are distributed equally and equitably in order for high school students to benefit from a hands-on environment where they will be able to learn skills needed to go into the workforce after high school. This consortium consists of the following school districts:
Two Rivers Career Education System is guided by a System Director and a Board of Control. It is our goal to enable the consortium districts to develop the skills needed in the five career and technical education areas to the best of their ability and with the most state-of-the-art materials, supplies and equipment needed to teach these skills. The purpose of the system is to provide quality Career and Technical Education programs for students who are enrolled in a participating school district which are approved by the Board of Control; to provide the vocational programs in an efficient manner; to provide equal access to System’s programs in an equitable manner; to employ a director and other professional staff for such programs as may be required; and to provide for the administration and financing of such programs, all in accordance with the provisions of the Board of Control, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines.
