FORTUNE-TELLING & ESOTERISM

Moon and fortune-telling

by Julia Pérez Bustamante in Tres Mancias Consultancy

What Moon has to do with fortune-telling and Tarot cards? Some esoteric topics for widening perception in readings.

Since ancient times, in peace and war, in different regions and cultures, fortune-telling with Tarot cards has always been and still is a common practice. People of all ages and activities ask cards about all types of topics, and it's the most widespread and eclectic oracle we know.

Keep on reading the article to stay in tune with fortune-telling, make right forecasts and get accurate descriptions of people, situations and objects.

Forgetting about cards

The important thing is guessing right. Make each card an extension of your own, pour your magnetism on it. The card will appear in a spread when your psychic gate attracts it.

Have you studied meanings? The answer is not important: recreate each arcane in every new reading. Because there's much more beyond you know, what you imagine, the words you use, what you have lived, are living and will live... Will you recognize it when showing up in a spread?

It's not your thinking, concentration or intellect. None of them has to do with Tarot when considered as an oracle. Of course you don't know what you ignore, and maybe you don't know either what other people ignore. The same for what has remained lost in time, and what could be in the future. But even so, all of that finds a way to be expressed through our magnetism, which explores Moon in us, in the experience we live between Heaven and Earth.

Forgetting questions

What it was, is and may be, is displayed in open and no-question readings, without searching for, without focusing, as if it were about scanning the querent's spectrum. These types of readings broaden our perception beyond a specific moment or particular interest. They also provide a general tone we may take as a reference for further spreads, which we may associate later to those first impressions that might have remained as unknowns in the beginning.

If no questions, cards are considered as when we recreate them over and over again in each new reading. Even if questions are the same, King of Swords doesn't mean the same every time.

Each arcane has a place in a particular line that is unfolded from the moment we start a reading. That moment begins in our consciousness and perception, with or without cards, close or far from the physical area where we usually perform our readings.

Each card holds a physical and emotional experience, a quality indicating a line we should follow for forecasting or describing.

This is the way fortune-telling starts happening, by indicating places, people and events beyond forms (cards) and beyond what is known (intellect). Each arcane is a possibility to get closer to what is out of the area where the reading is made, to what doesn't belong to querent or reader either, and to what is out of their experiences.

In tune with pulses

What grows up and then falls, strong hunches, faint hunches, audible echoes and those getting lost in space, a place about to be opened or closed, they are all physical and emotional tones. It's Moon receiving sunlight and expressing its own products on Earth. Beyond it, all is just a later form...

"Later" here means deriving from, emerging from an age, a zone, or even a product derived from intellect. Tarot cards considered as oracles don't reflect what is "later" but indicate lines of pulses.

A pulse has been here, there, among those people, among us... Cards indicate pulses and pathways, by following their positions in a spread. We don't associate arcana according to logic, we don't make them "fit" to familiar meanings or invent a way to make them understandable according to some scheme. Pulses are not related to time when we tell, or about characters or personalities of an age.

Tarot as oracle explores the experience happening out of time, which is a confluence. It not only tells what is ignored or unknown but also the irrational and unexpected (to our usual logic of development). This means calling the abyssal immensity of the Moon: you'll find what you're searching for, what you wonder about, and also what you're not looking for and not interested in.

Opening perception

Fortune-telling needs space, not as a metaphore for our thoughts, emotions or physical areas. It doesn't matter if we think a lot, a little bit or are emotionally exalted. Whatever be the quantity and quality, the important thing is keeping free space and stay receptive to pulses.

Emotional and mental openess is basic for fortune-telling and right forecasting. Emptiness of forms and meanings for not closing ourselves to the experience emerging during a reading, for perceiving other people's forms, for getting in tune with each pulse's line without conditioning the reading with our own...

Counting on this, predicting if a relationship, business or matter will become a real chance over time or not, and the way it will happen, is like following the growing path of a seed or navigating across the meanders of a river. The quality of each card is a milestone in each pulse: King of Swords may announce both the beginning as much as the end of a road, no matter if it has been the first card we got or the latest one appearing in the spread, reversed or right.

The answer will always come from the magnetic experience of the moment, which attracts a physical and emotional instant to be attached to the card, whatever be the pathway to follow in the future or the one walked before.

Psychic magnetism is firstly expressed as a new corporal sensation also associated to an emotion, which finally provides the meaning of that specific card in the spread. Those physical and emotional experiences are like gateways pointing to a particular situation to be attached to a card, for instance if King of Swords in a 1-card spread is telling about an ideology or a predominant way of thinking, or is announcing an upcoming conflict or the end of a conflict, or is warning about game's rules or norms about to be changed, or if is referring to a person...

Considering this, oracular readings cannot be transmitted to others as a method, and the best to do will always be practicing and practicing because is what takes us to know our own qualities and magnetic forms. What comes out from each arcane is just an instant in that untransferable registry, a vibration guiding us about what each card is specifically telling about, in the spread and related to that specific reading.

The registry comes from our very practice and, of course, from later observations to finally see a line: the vibration we felt about a matter, the card we got, and what happened next. This is the way to build a relationship with your deck according to reading experiences. You'll always guess right by following this pathway.
