2nd Global RE-INVEST

INDIA-ISA Partnership, (3-5 oct 2018),

India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, UP, INDIA

Department of Energy Engineering,CUJ presented its achievement and its future goals of action in 2nd Global RE-INVEST, which saw participation of over 20,000 Delegates including representatives from over 77 countries of which 40 were at the ministerial level as revealed by MNRE,Govt. of India. Students from Int. M.Tech. in Energy Engineering 2014-2019 batch were the exhibitors for the Department stall in HRD Pavillion at RE-INVEST'018.

National Institute of Wind Energy

Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Govt. of India

As a part of Educational Tour in the course curriculum of Integrated M.Tech. course. 2014-2019 batch students visited NIWE, Tambaram, Where they were briefed about the SRRA, Wind energy systems and technologies, energy forecasting, design methodologies, tools and techniques with practical demonstration of live models to have a better insight of wind power systems. Later the students also visited NIWE Kayathar Wind Turbine Test Station (WTTS) & Wind Turbine Research Station (WTRS) where they had a glimpse and develop understanding of different types of wind structures and its real time working.

Jindal Steel and Power Limited

Patratu, Jharkhand, INDIA

During Their visit to JSPL,Patratu. Students came to know about various manufacturing processes and Industrial automation involved in process of alloying to form steel. Students had an overview of different units of the plant and were elaborated with various practices associated with operational safety and occupational hazard.

Indian Institute of Legal Metrology

Kanke, Ranchi, INDIA

Indian Institute of Legal Metrology, a unique pioneer institute of its nature, commonly known as IILM, is a statutory body established by the Government of India under Section 21 of the Legal Metrology Act.2009. It is only one of the kinds not only in India but also an apex institute in the South and South East- Asia. This Institute is working under direct control of Central Govt., Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Department of Consumer Affairs. Some Students of Integrated M.Tech in Energy Engineering 2014-2019 batch had visited IILM where they had exposure of various checks and measurement standards. They were also briefed about calibration methodology of weights and their traceability. During their visit they also had a glimpse of ground mounted, Rooftop solar power plant and system components installed in the campus.

SRRA Station, CUJ, New Campus, Ranchi

As a part of Solar Lab activities, students were demonstrated and were given hands on experience of various parts and processes involved in Solar radiation resource monitoring.

Birsa Agricultural University

Kanke Patratu Road, Gandhi Nagar, Ranchi, Ramgarh, Jharkhand-INDIA

During their visit to Birsa Agricultural University as a part of Bio-energy systems laboratory activities, students were given hands on exposure of operations and processes involved in Bio-Energy generation and various Bio Energy systems.

Our students have participated in various Momentum Jharkhand 2017,had attended various plenary and conference sessions to understand the various reforms/policy framework and practices adopted by Govt. of Jharkhand to promote Energy and other Industries in state of Jharkhand.

"Seeds of Hope"Exhibition

Seeds of Hope: Visions of sustainability, steps toward change is a joint initiative of SGI and the Earth Charter International.“Seeds of Hope” is a successor to the “Seeds of Change” exhibition which was created for the World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 2002, and has since been shown in 34 countries in 13 languages and seen by 1,500,000 people around the world. Miss Shambhavi Mishra, Mr Shubham Kumar and Mr Sudhanshu Anand all students of 2014-2019 batch Energy Engineering students visited the exhibition to have an exposure of sustainable practices being adopted worldwide.

The Energiea is an Energy Society of Central University of Jharkhand and is known to organise various events and activities for the promotion of sustainable energy practices and renewable energy systems.

UNNAYAN, CUJ

Unnayan is an educational social responsibility of Central University of Jharkhand. In Unnayan students belonging to underprivileged sections are provided with free edcational and mentorship support. some of our students provide their voluntary contribution in this noble Work undertaken by Team UNNAYAN.

"eQuest" Training workshop

The various design methodology were taught during a short term training session taken by Dr. Basudev Pradhan (Ramanujan Fellow). Students were given hands on experience via a case study approach of building energy simulation using eQuest software.

Social Activities

Children's Day Celebration

For Student studying in luxurious private school its a day worth celebration but for them (students of village Government schools) its just another day. To make their day a special one, students of 2014-2019 batch with support from an NGO named Kaivalya Vichar Samiti had organised fun activities and quizzes/competitions on 14th Nov 2015.

Educational campaign

To motivate children from villages and underprivileged section students,various motivational talks were delivered to small gathering of villagers and stationary were gifted to children.

Co-curricular achievements

Spring Fest'15,IIT Kharagpur

Our University group won 3rd prize in Music at one of Asia's biggest socio-cultural Fest,Spring Fest'15, IIT kharagpur. Mr. Shubham Kumar, student of 2014-2019 batch was one among vocalist singers of the same group.

Jinks 2015,NIFFT, HATIA

Our University group won 2nd prize in Music at Jinks 2k15,a cultural fest of NIFFT,Hatia. Miss Shambhavi Mishra & Mr. Shubham Kumar, student of 2014-2019 batch were part of team of vocalist singers of the same group.
