Audition Video Instructions

Step 1. (Required)

Complete the form with student and guardian information.

Step 2. (Required)

Choose a song that you know well. Record and submit a
video. Introduce yourself and sing ONE verse and chorus.

Step 3. (Optional)

Record and submit a video. Introduce yourself and perform ONE of the monologues.

Tips

The verse tells the story and provides context.

The chorus is the catchy, or memorable part.

The videos should range from 1:00-2:45 minutes.

"The Host Monologue" (Realistic)

Hello, Welcome to our show! We are the Talented Talons, Valrico Academy’s

first fine arts performance group. Parents, teachers, students and honored guests please silence your electronic devices and enjoy the show!  

“The Superhero Secret" (Dramatic)

You can’t tell anyone, Promise?... Alright... I’m a superhero. I know ... I know I

don’t look like one. But that’s the point! No one suspects me. I can hear things

from miles away, and I can run faster than anyone in my class. But we have to

keep it a secret ok. If the dark side found out, they’d come after us.  

"The Ice Cream Dilemma" (Comedic)

There I was, standing in front of the ice cream counter. Chocolate or vanilla? It

was the hardest decision of my life! Chocolate is rich and creamy, but vanilla is

classic and smooth... but then I saw it—strawberry! I didn’t even know strawberry

was a choice! What if I picked the wrong one? I might regret it forever!  So, I did the only thing I could do... I got all three!
