Managing results

As a systematic review needs to be transparent in its methods and replicable by others, good record management is imperative.

Downloading results

Considerations:

Downloading citations can be time consuming.  Results should all be downloaded as closely together as possible.  Try to do all the downloads on one day.

Using reference management software makes managing the large numbers much simpler.

Deduplicating results

Considerations:

Records will be indexed across multiple databases which will result in many duplicate records.  These duplicate records need to be removed.

The resulting duplicate record numbers are required for PRISMA reporting.
