AFTER SELECTING YOUR COURSES

Before submitting your course selection, please remind and take into account the following things according to the academic rules of Tecnologico de Monterrey:

Classes and Evaluation System

The average class size is of 30 students. Teamwork, projects in small groups and student participation are all highly encouraged by your lecturers at the Tecnológico de Monterrey. Homework is assigned regularly and, in order for you to eligible to take your final exam, your class attendance must be at least 80% (additional exams may be given throughout the semester).

Grading Scale

The grading system used by the Tecnológico de Monterrey is from 1 to 100, with 70 being the minimum passing grade.

Our courses are evaluated in units. Units are understood to be the hours per week a student is expected to work in order to complete the course. They include both classroom (3 hours) and homework time (5 hours).

In accordance with this information, an 8-unit course is equivalent to 3 US credits or 5 European ECTS credits. Nevertheless, the correspondent equivalency should be determined by the student’s home university.
