The ITF World Championships in Finland
January 30, 2023Leave a Comment
After intensive preparation through many Zoom meetings and alternating correspondence between organising committee of ITF Finland and the ITF Tournament, Umpire, and IT Committee, the final version of the invitation for the most important sporting event of the ITF in 2023 was completed and published a few days ago. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those involved for their efforts.
After 1587 days or 4.5 years without a phyical ITF World Championships after the last ITF World Championships in Inzell, Germany, in 2019, the upcoming competitions in Tampere, Finland, have high expectations and anticipation is very high after the event was postponed from 2021 to 2023 for well-known reasons. Time is pressing as there are only about 7 months left until the start of this major event. But we are on schedule everywhere and fully motivated!
As you have probably already noticed, the event will be held according to the extended competition rules that were tested last year. This means that for the first time in ITF history, the event will be held and scored in three categories: The 22nd World Championships (18+ years), the 16th Junior World Championships (15-17 years), and the 1st Pre-Junior World Championships (12-14 years). Please take this into account when submitting your entries to the committees!
I wish you all a successful preparation in every respect and look forward to seeing you again at the World Championships in Finland.
With best regards.

ITF President
HOW DID MASTER SPARTACUS MUHAMMED JEMAL BECOMES A MILITARY COMMANDO?
Master Spartacus Muhammed Jemal’s journey to becoming a military commando likely involved rigorous training, dedication, and specific qualifications. While I don’t have precise details about his personal path, I can provide a general overview of the steps involved in becoming a military commando:
Basic Military Training:
Like all military personnel, aspiring commandos typically start with basic training. This phase covers physical fitness, discipline, weapons handling, and teamwork.
Basic training ensures that recruits are mentally and physically prepared for the challenges ahead.
Specialized Training:
Commandos undergo specialized training that focuses on combat skills, survival techniques, and mission-specific tasks.
Areas of training may include:
Close Quarters Combat (CQC): Techniques for engaging enemies in confined spaces.
Unconventional Warfare: Tactics for operating behind enemy lines.
Demolitions: Handling explosives and sabotage.
Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE): Preparing for survival in hostile environments.
Parachuting: Learning to jump from aircraft.
Navigation: Navigating in various terrains.
Intelligence Gathering: Collecting critical information.
Medical Training: Basic field medical skills.
Physical Conditioning: Maintaining peak fitness.
Selection Process:
Commando units often have a rigorous selection process. Candidates are evaluated based on physical endurance, mental toughness, and adaptability.
Only those who meet stringent criteria proceed to specialized training.
Operational Experience:
Commandos gain experience through real-world operations, exercises, and simulations.
They work closely with their teams, honing their skills in high-pressure situations.
Continuous Learning and Advancement:
Commandos continually train and update their skills. They may attend advanced courses in areas like counter-terrorism, intelligence analysis, or specialized weapons.
Advancement within the commando ranks is based on performance, leadership, and expertise.
Remember that each commando’s journey is unique, influenced by their background, unit, and country. Master Spartacus likely followed a similar path, combining martial arts discipline with military training to excel in both domains. 🥋🔥
