Projects

Biofizz works on activities that learn English and develop our knowledge of biophysics. The main activities are as follows.

Language Exchange

   We communicate with students who are taking Japanese courses at the University of Virginia and Minnesota. We mainly use two language, Japanese and English.

Movie watching

　We watch Japanese and foreign films with English audio and subtitles.

Experiments in the field of biology

　We perform various experiments. For example, we  did the experiment with zebrafish.

BPS events

　We participate in BPS-sponsored conferences and other events, exchange with student chapters in other countries

Reading and discussion of English papers

　We expose to a variety of English texts to prepare for reading papers.

English conversation

　We practice on speaking daily conversation in English for about 30 minutes every day.

Discussions in English

　We choose a topic and have a discussion in English.

Volunteer activities (community contribution)

　We participate in Japanese language classes, etc.
