Legalize Weed
Our party plans to put effort into passing legislation that would nationally legalize marijuana and have no restrictions on the use of it, not just limiting it to medical. We would also plan on releasing all prisoners who have been imprisoned due to marijuana related cases.
This falls on the left of the spectrum. The liberal belief would be to be decriminalize it and allow more recreational use as our prisons are overcrowded and we shouldn't be able to legislate what people do with their body.
Increase Funding for Space Force
We see it as a necessary and proper to increase the funding for our space force in efforts to be the pioneers in the new frontier the globe is heading to. If we have increased military funding we will greatly increase the amount of offshoot technology created. These technologies can help solve the potential oil problem we will have, relating to both global pollution and depletion of non renewable resources .
This would fall on the right of the spectrum. people on the right are more supportive of increasing defence spending in order to our rights as americans. A stronger military protects us from foreign powers and doesn't allow for someone to control us.
End Tax Write Offs For The Wealthy
We do not plan on raising taxes for the rich, instead we seek to end tax write offs and tax reduction for individuals of the upper most tax bracket. This will provide an increase in the amount of tax money the US brings in each year. This money would not be set to be used for one specific program but will be in the general fund to fund whatever program we think needs more funding.
This falls on the left of the spectrum. The left believes that the rich shouldn't be treated better just because they have more money. Ending tax write offs would also increase the amount of money we would be able to have to use for other social programs
Increase Nuclear and Wind Energy Funding
We hope that an increased funding towards nuclear and wind energy will be able to improve our technologies in order to be economically reasonable for consumer use. We hope that in creating our own technology within the US we will establish a greater scene of independence and a lower dependence on a foreign body to provide the technology.
This would fall on the middle of the spectrum. This is due to the fact that the left supports different types of renewable energy such as wind energy which is what we support. While the right supports nuclear energy as a more feasible option over renewable as they can prove to not be as reliable in their current state .
Lower Legal Age to Buy Nicotine, Alcohol and Weed to 18
We believe that if one is tried and treated as an adult they should have the responsibility and ability to make their own choices in regard to what they consume. If one at 18 is required to sign up for the draft and have the potential to die fighting for our freedoms that they should have the freedom to consume what they want.
This would fall on the left of the spectrum. The more liberal view on it as that if a person has the ability to go and die for the country then they should be able to consume what they want as an adult. If you are old enough to be considered and adult then you should have the right to do what you want
Stricter Background Checks and Restriction on Mentally Ill
We believe that the second amendment and the right to bear arms is necessary for all people to have in America. We also believe that while not all mentally ill people are dangerous and have no intention to harm people, we believe that gun ownership for these people should be curbed due to the fact they they may not always be mentally capable enough to bear the responsibility that comes with possessing a gun. This can be used to help decrease the amount of gun deaths due to people with mental illness and the overall amount of gun deaths.
This falls on the left side of the spectrum. The left is wanting to increase background checks in order to prevent dangerous people from acquiring guns. Having strict background checks would also make the gun process harder and longer also preventing the number of people that have a gun and would prevent more gun deaths.
Reduce Interest Rates on Student Loans
We believe the US should be able to cap and further regulate student loans. As we continue on college degrees become less and less valuable as more and more people are getting them yet the price to attend many universities continue to climb. We believe the US should have a role in protecting the public from the overpriced colleges and have a fair reasonable price for the degree compared to the value you can get out of having a degree. Reducing the interest rates can lower the stress of needing to repay yet won't eliminate interest rates as you need a reason for banks to give out loans.
This falls on the right side of the spectrum. The right doesn't believe in canceling debt but also recognizes the problem in the education system and how the price of college can be overbearing on some people.
