Md Sazal Miah was born and raised in Bangladesh, a beautiful country in South Asia that is full of greenery and home to the famous "Royal Bengal Tigers." Called a "Basket Case" 50 years ago, Bangladesh is now one of the next 11 big economies named by the World Bank. With the rapid growth of GDP at ~8%, Bangladesh is known as the "Asian Tiger" for her rapid economic growth. He was schooled at Elenga High School in SSC and went to Major General Mahmudul Hasan Adorsho College, Tangail, Bangladesh in HSC.

He completed M.Eng in Nanotechnology at the Asian Institute of Technology, Pathum Thani 12120, Thailand with the prestigious His Majesty the King’s Scholarships(Royal Thai Government Scholarship). In October 2018, he completed B.Sc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Asia Pacific, Bangladesh. During his B.Sc degree, he received the Outstanding Merit scholarship for the entire duration of his B.Sc degree. After B.Sc degree from UAP, he received an admission offer in M.Sc+PhD program at the Inha University, South Korea (Full Fund+ GA), M.Sc in Photonics program at the University of Jena, Germany, Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters in Medical Imaging and Applications (MAIA), Europe (Admission without Fund), Master of Engineering in Electronics Engineering program at Macquarie University, Australia (Got offer letter, but failed to send the documents for the further procedure due to COVID-19), InnoEnergy Masters School, Europe (Offer without Fund), SMARTNET Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree (EMJMD) program, Europe (Offer without Fund), Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, TX 78539, United States (Got admission on 19th August at UTRGV. Before that, He accepted the offer from the Asian Institute of Technology in mid-July. However, with all these offers, he preferred to move to Thailand in 2020 for M.Sc. due to his personal reasons and a friendly environment.

He has collaborated on Electrode Design, Energy Storage and Management, Electric Vehicle, Renewable Energy, Nanotechnology and Biomedical signal processing related projects with researchers from Boston University and other reputed universities such as University of Oulu, Finland; Nagoya University, Japan; Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia; Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology; Bangamata Sheikh Fojilatunnesa Mujib Science & Technology University; and the University of Asia Pacific. Some of these research works have been published in reputed journals (Journal of Cleaner Production, IEEE Access, and Electronics) and international conferences. In total, he has 23 publications until now.

Beyond his regular research works, he loves to research Green Energy, Machine Learning, Power Electronics, and Solar cells. At leisure, he is an avid reader and enjoys turning book pages with several cups of coffee! He prefers reading detective, thriller, and mystery genre stories. Additionally, he also likes to travel and spend time in nature.
