Some Fun Stuff I do
I recently solved a nice question from the 2010 paper of econometrics which took me a while, but it was indeed a nice puzzle waiting to be solved. If you want to have a go at the question, click here.
I recently tried to answer the question: "Rasode Mai Kon Tha?" Using advance econometric tools but turns out it is an identification problem i.e., even with infinite data, I cannot answer the question. It forms a part of THE SET OF KNOWN UNKNOWNS.
Let epsilon be negative -- Yes, if you've been scarred by this, you'll laugh.
The classic "Lucas Tree" model is a stochastic (k, K) model. Empirically it is a failure, but so are all its decendants and it's a useful place to start. -- Prof. Nancy Stokey
Every time you pass a toilet.... Enter it. -- Dr. Vijay Kelkar
If you can't amaze them with brilliance, dazzle them with bullshit. -- Me on every one of my CS practicals
Hearts and Minds will follow once you've got them by the balls. -- Theodore Roosevelt.

Talent is As Cheap as Salt. -- Prof. Alwyn Young
Here is one of my most favorite dialogs from the Series Yes Prime-Minister (1987):
Jim Hacker : Don't tell me about the Press. I know *exactly* who reads the papers. The Daily Mirror is read by people who think they run the country;
The Guardian is read by people who think they *ought* to run the country;
The Times is read by the people who actually *do* run the country;
The Daily Mail is read by the wives of the people who run the country;
The Financial Times is read by people who *own* the country;
The Morning Star is read by people who think the country ought to be run by *another* country;
and The Daily Telegraph is read by people who think it is.
