Prep Tips for the Big Wedding Day

Weddings are one of the biggest moments in our lives. Everyone we know is invited, we hire photographers and videographers to capture the event, and also we want to be looking great for the beach on the honeymoon! So it is natural to prepare and work hard so we are looking GOOD for the big day! The areas of focus think about and prepare for are usually the skin and the teeth. Below are some helpful ideas for getting ready for your big day!

If you are like me and work in an office all day, chances are that you rarely get that much sun. And you want your skin to be looking nice and tan for two reasons: One, because in all of the thousands of pictures you will take on your wedding day it will be just that much nicer if you are looking tan and healthy, and two, because then you will not burn as easily when you get to the beach! If you do not have time to tan during the day, a popular thing to do is to get a tanning membership about a month before the wedding. Guys - this includes you too! You might feel sort of weird at first, but taking 20-30 minutes a couple of times each week to go tanning can make a huge difference for how you look and how you feel come wedding week. Tanning memberships often have couple specials or wedding specials as well, so it is easy on the wallet too as we know how expensive weddings can be!

The second area to focus on is your teeth. In my opinion this is an area that often goes overlooked, as people will still have their normal diet of dark liquids like coffee and coke leading up to the wedding. If you can cut these out of your diet even as little as 30 days before, it will be that much better for your teeth come picture time. And, your dentist will be excited about it too! Another popular thing to do is to get teeth whitening strips from your dentist or local pharmacy and begin a teeth whitening treatment.

Make sure you talk to your dentist about this before starting, as there can be some sensitivity involved depending on what type of strips you get. Also plan this out, as most of the packs take 6 weeks to complete. We all love seeing those healthy and shiny smiles on your wedding day - so get to polishing those ivories and have a lovely wedding day!
