Things to do in Shady Hollow TX
Shady Hollow consists of five adjacent sections centered around Brodie Lane in far south Austin. The original section was developed in the 1970s and construction continued into the 1990s. The newer sections has larger homes and were added in the 1980s to the early 2000s. Shady Hollow is a comfortable suburban community with many local amenities, stores and restaurants within short driving distance, and access to local highways and downtown Austin. The neighborhood association is very active and sponsors several annual events for residents.
Shady Hollow is a census-designated place in southwestern Travis County, Texas, United States, and is part of the City of Austin. It is located ten miles southwest of Downtown Austin, near the Travis/Hays county line. The population was 5,004 at the 2010 census.
