1. Head to Eats & Beats
This monthly wandering food van gathering has proved hugely popular, with visitors coming from near and far to tuck into yummy food and groove to smooth tunes. Check the website for the next event’s date and location.
2. Eat up at Global Food Markets
Exotic eats and incredible produce abound at the Global Food Markets. It’s on every Sunday and, best of all, entry to the markets is free.
3. Check out Chung Tian Temple
The building is a lesson in beautiful design and the art inside is a culture lover’s dream, so the Chung Tian Temple is definitely a must-do. Join a meditation class or book in for a tour – inner peace may find you.
4. Speed off in a go kart
Kids both big and small can get in on the action at Kingston Park Raceway, with three separate race tracks to choose from. Littlies can get involved in the Rookie Karts as well, so no one is left out. Hit the gas!

6. Pick your own berries at Chambers Flat Strawberry Farm
From July to November the kids can get their hands on fresh strawberries direct from the patch. You can also grab a punnet from the on-site shop, but it’s likely strawberry ice creams will be the big hit.

Strap on a wakeboard and get ready for some wicked air time at Cable Ski Logan. Yes, you may face-plant into the water, but you’ll have a great time doing it.

9. Embrace your green thumb at Neilsen's Native Nursery and Marine Aquarium
This family operated business houses a sprawling nursery just off the Pacific Motorway that’s perfect for planning that backyard reno you’ve been eyeing off for years. The Lorikeet’s Coffee Shop is a relaxing spot to pause and refuel by the main pond, while the Shark and Ray Nursery is open to those wanting a hands-on shark and ray experience.
10. Taste New Zealand at Grandma’s Kiwi Kitchen
For those from across the ditch, Grandma’s Kiwi Kitchen is a brilliant slice of home. For locals, it means yummy Kiwi tucker such as battered greenlip mussels and fried whitebait. Get your fix at 1 Murrajong Rd at Springwood or the Logan Central Markets on Sunday morning – and the coffee’s well loved, too. Kia ora!
11. Tour the Beenleigh Rum Distillery
The atmosphere is one of quiet reflection at the Beenleigh Distillery, with the long, polished-concrete bar and wall of rum barrels setting a distinguished tone. Take a tour for $15, or for $25 get the full tour and experience a tasting session of the distillery’s premium range of rums.
12. Walk and cycle at Berrinba Wetlands
There’s an awesome playground and the picnic spots are lovely, but head to the Berrinba Wetlands for the 8km of walking and cycling tracks and get the kids learning at the interactive environmental education centre.
13. Get lost in IKEA
We’re pretty sure that in Swedish IKEA roughly translates to “the feeling that you can never ever turn back”. But that’s OK, a trip to the Logan store will ensure your hands are full with stylish bits and bobs for your home. And meatballs, don’t forget the meatballs.

Learn about and see these cute furry critters up close from the viewing platforms at Daisy Hill Koala Centre. Entry is free but please note, visitors are unable to handle or touch the koalas.

For a Japanese style barbecue, Shinbashi Yakiniku is a family favourite in Underwood. Grill meat, seafood and vegetables in typical Japanese style or if you're a hungry human, opt for the all-you-can-eat menu with a range of rice and noodle dishes and entrees and sides.
16. Make a splash at Darlington Parklands
This is literally a kids’ wonderland. Splash pools and fountains, a fort and climbing wall, and even an awesome flying fox will keep the young ones entertained for hours. There’s even basketball, soccer and fitness facilities, meaning the family that plays together, stays healthy together.
17. Get cultured at Kingston Butter Factory
The refurbished factory, aptly located on Milky Way at Kingston, is now home to the Butterbox Theatre, a community arts centre and a museum. Check out a slice of Logan’s dairying past and embrace the local arts scene while you’re there.
18. Step back in time at Beenleigh Historical Village
There are 20 heritage buildings to explore and plenty of historical artefacts to see and touch at the Beenleigh Historical Village. Immerse yourself in the legacy of the area and school groups can witness some of the region’s history frozen in time.
19. Catch a show at Logan Entertainment Centre

20. Have a round of golf
Tee up a round with some mates and embrace the fact you won’t lose too many balls thanks to the open style of the course at Meadowbrook Golf Club. A round will only set you back $30 and the club house is a welcome place for a drink after the 18th.

It’s a lovely site to see Wineglass Water Tower lit up at night, and during the day littlies can play at the cute park in its shadow. Either way it’s an iconic sight in the City of Logan and well worth the stop.

Learn all about the captivating Aboriginal culture, history and language at the Yugambeh Museum Language and Heritage Research Centre. Exhibitions, ceremonies and programs paint an incredible picture of the language and the land throughout the region.
24. Go bird-watching at Eagleby Wetlands
It’s an absolute quacker of a place for wildlife lovers, with a plethora of bird habitats providing plenty of opportunities to spot the more than 200 native species in the area. Take your binoculars and settle in for a wild view.
25. FUNderwood Hollow at Underwood Park
It looks like something from a Harry Potter movie and the kids will certainly have a magical experience as they play and explore this cool as heck playground.
26. Shop ’til you drop at the Hyperdome
The consumerist heart of Logan City, the Hyperdome has been undergoing upgrades for years now. Spend a Saturday morning at the Market Room sourcing only the freshest local fruit and veg or explore trendy fashion retailers before settling down for lunch in the Piazza. You’ll also find Event Cinemas there showing all the latest blockbusters.
27. Go bungee jumping
Take a leap of faith at Bungy Australia’s bugee jumping crane that dangles above Kingston Park Raceway. It’ll be just you, your bungee cord and 14 storeys between you and the ground. Breathe slowly, then jump…

If you haven’t had a Yatala Pies pie, you haven’t lived. The steak and mushroom is our pick but truthfully you win with anything from this local food icon. Be sure to add mushy peas, mash potato and gravy for the full experience.
29. Visit a Hindu temple
The natural setting and beautiful buildings make for a truly spiritual experience at Sri Selva Vinayakar Koyil temple. Local worshippers have visited for years but the temple is also the venue for a stack of cultural and educational events and activities.
30. Get some artistic exposure
Entry is free at Logan Art Gallery but you’d be happy to pay to check out its visiting and permanent exhibitions. There are also plenty of public programs such as workshops and talks in which to immerse yourself.
